Subterra Backpack

Actually should be 4 and 1/2 stars. Grat quality and features. Deep bottle pocket. Looks better in real life then pictures. Back of pack is stiff but not too much. Small minus for little narrow main pocket. This is third backpack I purchased and it’s winner (other two from Patagonia and The North Face).

This is a serious backpack. If you want real protection for your laptop and some rugged features, this backpack would be great for you. The laptop pocket is intense with a foldover flap that I find a little too inconvenient (thought it does offer you an easier slip-out access from the side as well. But again, if you are looking for heavier protection than I am, this could be perfect. There is no front-visible access little pockets, but the forward compartment does give you smaller storage options from inside. The side water-bottle pockets might be the most interesting. At first I thought they looked too small to be of use, but that is because they are equipped with elastic that actually makes them disappear when you arent using them, giving the backpack quite a sleek look. There is room in here for a larger laptop, notebook, tablet and probably a smaller lunch/cooler bag and odds and ends. That said, the style was a little stiff and hard to access for me. I prefer accessible pockets all over the place. If this style and heavy protection appeals to you though, I cant recommend this bag highly enough for durability and clever design.

Used several times for travel. Never lets me down. Lots of pockets and its really sturdy.

This bad is high quality and very functional as I have come expect from Thule. The only downside for me is that the main compartment does not have enough room for more storage one you put in a laptop and tablet. I am exchanging for the 30L which is about the same size but has a larger main and secondary compartment as well as more functional organization. This is a great bag, just not what I need.

Best Backpack I’ve bought yet.

This is a solid backpack option with lots of little bells and whistles. It easily fit my 13 MacBook Pro and charging cable as well as a couple smaller bags I carry with medicine and adapters. I had ordered this and the 30L model to compare. See the photo if youre interested in the profile difference between the two.

This is possibly the perfect laptop backpack for professionals. It is very functional. The main compartment has an inner sleeve that fits my larger than normal laptop, and its very padded and secure with a Velcro closure. Im not worried about it getting damaged even if dropped. There is another deep zippered compartment in front of the main compartment to hold more items, whether it be a tablet or just documents. Each compartment has smaller zippered compartments perfect for cords, pens, etc. (there are three slots special for pens). One of the compartments has a hole so that you can easily use it as a charging station. Once closed, there is plenty of space on the outside for a cell phone and water bottle. Besides functionality, the look is very professional. It looks much better then my other brand (swiss Army?) - the look is cleaner and more professional. It is comfortable to wear also - the straps are thickly padded, and there is also a chest strap. The weight seems to be displaced so that it is not too heavy. It is obvious that this was designed with the utmost thought to quality and functionality. This brand will not disappoint.
