Supco MO44 Rust Buster Liquid Penetrating Oil

Assume this would have worked on an application where the oil could run downhill. My application was more horizontal so no much of the penetrating oil soaked into the rusted threads.

Bottle is half, of the liquid and looks used , you cannot return this , so be aware if you buy it

I really liked this product, after I used on old rusty screw they just were like new. Tight them up as much easier

Used it for some gun cleaning for some old rifles. Worked well but left some discoloration to the metal, wouldnt say for sure it was due to this product but just a heads up.

Works like a charm on brass bushings and leaves them slightly lubricated without the chance of any build-up to occur like how it does with 3-in-1 oil

Great product. Used it on the center assembly of our 11 year old washing machine. Unfortunately the locking nut had fused to the assembly below it. The Rust Buster liquid removed all the surface rust, but after six hours of pounding the wrench in the correct direction for this reverse-threaded nut, it would not separate, so I hacksawed it off. After that the repair was easy (though we never did fix the leak we were trying to get rid of, and wound up buying a new washer). At the end I was disappointed but realized the rust buster wasnt the problem - it actually made the whole assembly clean and rust free.

Specifically purchased to loosen a frozen screw in a handplane. After 8 or 10 tries I decided I was wasting my time. Took the plane outside and torched the snot out of the frozen screw which surrendered instantly.

I had two rusty hinges on a ramp for a trailer. I Used this on both. One hinge came loose in a matter of 15 minutes. The other hinge required several applications more and finally heat and a mallet to loosen the 2nd hinge. I was kinda impressed with the first hinge loosening up so quickly.
