> 24 hourWe are using this to replace Fluorescent lights for indirect lighting. The Fluorescent was 480 watts. The LED lights are 80 watts.

> 24 hourI used these LED strip lights to illuminate a 500 sq ft square room, and a TP-link Kasa outlet to control the brightness. They wouldn’t be bright enough if the LEDs were in a recessed corner (cove lighting), but placing them directly in the corner with no additional shielding is bright enough. These lights come with plastic mounting pieces and screws to mount the strip. There is no adhesive backing. Since the strip is fairly heavy, mounting it requires using the included screws or a good length of strong adhesive tape (i.e. 3M VHB tape).

> 24 hourThese lights are very nice however I ordered soft, warm and didnt realize that I was sent bright-white instead. Once they were installed on our 6 palm trees we realized the mistake and now they are too bright. We cannot have all six trees on at the same time because it is borderline blinding. Kind of a bummer as I spent $350 on the lights and another $400 for installation.

> 24 hourThe soft white isn’t so soft. Bought a dimmer. We’ll see how that works. With no adhesive backing, the meter apart brackets weren’t enough to keep it from sagging. Be prepared to install them every 12 inches. If the dimmer does not work, it sure is gonna be a pain to pull them all down….

> 24 hourThese are flat and have special flat rubber mounting brackets. I bought these to replace our old rope lights that go around the house and was a little disappointed they were not round like the previous ones however once I got them installed, they are way better than the old ones (could be the led vs regular lights). We have 1 outdoor light and 2 outlets so having these be 150 feet long works great! We live in the country and since they replaced our yard light with a led light, it didnt light up our backdoor/backyard like it use to so we installed these to help with that and keep the bugs away from the door. Bought the bright white (daylight/kind of blue) and did not like those (too bright) wanted something a little less bright and these are perfect, still light but not too bright.

> 24 hourThese are bright and very nice for large outdoor spaces (like this cedar tree). Note that the color on photographs tends in my experience to be different than what we see with the human eye. You can really cover a lot, like a large tree or structure, and the brightness is quite impressive. I have left mine out of doors for two years now, and Im starting to see some issues with dark sections, especially when connecting sections together (first section will light up, but possibly due to corrosion the tail section is inconsistent). Given how much rain we get Im not too upset about it; if I was, I would do a better job of taking them down after the holiday season. The instructions say quite clearly not to plug in when the lights are on the reel, as this will lead to excessive heating. Some reviews include pictures of melted lights on the reel-- just unreel it before you plug it in. Youll probably want to do that anyway, since a tightly coiled line is hard to hang right out of the box.

> 24 hourI love the lights and they work great! However the mounting fasteners provided were a little on the flimsy side and I didnt have faith in them holding up the lights in my house. So I bought myself cable nails that had longer fasteners and a thicker plastic holding bracket and that worked perfectly for what I needed since I was mounting it into drywall. While the plastic brackets they provided probably would have worksled out okay, the screws wouldnt have engaged much into my drywall or any other surface since theyre a little on the short side.

> 24 hourI installed these around the inside of our porch to light our house at night. Fortunately we had a dedicated outside outlet with a switch inside the house. I installed a timer switch that turns these on and off automatically each day. With the 150 ft, I was able to wrap around 100% of the front of our house and 60% of the back - exactly what we wanted. Being able to cut the strand and create two strings of lights made accomplishing this easy from the outlet location outside. The instructions are easy to follow and all the pieces need to make two strands out of the one are included. I did not use the hardware they supplied to install these because the screws they provide are very small and intended for wood rather than the plastic siding where I installed mine. Instead, I used tie wraps that have an eyelet where a screw can be inserted. It took me approximately two hours to install the entire 150 ft. We really like the look these give our home at night - highly recommend this set.
