Well, everything was going great with this toy. Than I witnessed one of my parakeets take a frayed strand of rope and pull it off the string (it was a fluffy tuft). He then decided to eat it. He seems to be alright so it probably passed through his digestion, I hope. I would not recommend this toy because of the way it frayed. my birds other rope toy does not become fluffy when frayed, which is a good thing. I dont want my birds or anyone elses to get hurt by faulty toy. I wish I knew what specific type of rope they used on this toy, so i could avoid it. My only thought is that they might have used yarn.

I bought this toy for my yellow collar mini-macaw, or my hahns macaw. They both love chewing and preening rope toys!

My bird does not like it. Purchased to replace a smaller one that my bird had chewed up over the years.

Our sun conure love to snuggle in this toy. Just watch when the ropes get loose. I trim them back when they do.

This item almost caused my bird his death.

Our conure spends more time playing with this toy that with the all other toys.

It smells so bad i cant even stand it. My budgie ran away from it smells so bad and he never turns away from a toys.

Green cheek conure loves this, loves to burrow in it :)
