Works as intended, was hoping each outlet was controllable individually.

This smart wifi outlet is perfect for us. We have an inground pool in our back yard so we are outside all the time. I love that I can hook up my outdoor lights, radio and still use it if I want to charge my phone. I love that it is a smart outlet so I can just use app to set up timers or turn items on or off.

It feels lightweight for the outdoors. I live in Seattle and all my lighting is run on these type of devices. This feels lightweight Im not sure how it will handle winter freezes and 24/7 rain. The outlets are securely placed in housing and the unit is working right now, without any issues. Giving it 5 stars because right now, it works as expected, if anything changes, I will update review.

The set up is super easy using the Smart Life app. Controls easily using your voice, with Alexa. This was not an issue for me, but keep in mind that the three outlets do not work independently. You cannot control each outlet individually. It will either turn all three outlets on or off. Irregardless, to have an outdoor rated three outlet plug that can be controlled by your phone app or your voice with Alexa or Google, at such a low price, you just can’t go wrong!

I was afraid to use this outdoors. What if it gets wet? Indoor, meh. Takes up a lot of space for just three plugs.

I already had devices setup on the Smart Life app so it was a super breeze to setup all the way to asking Alexa and Google to turn the switch on and off. I didnt have to do anything with either one of them since they were both already setup with the Smart Life app. This is a heavy duty, rugged device; very substantially made. I wanted to have this to control my set of landscape lights. I had one of those plastic programmable timers doing the job but since the rest of the house is Alexified, I figure why now do it for the landscape lights as well. I test it with both AIs and it instantly obeyed the on-off commands. There wasnt anything in the app though for adjusting to daylight savings time. My pet peeve with my other switch control was that if we had a power outage, the timer would have to be reset. Im imagining that is not the case with this one. That was a biggee for me; just one more chore to take care of. At first, I was imagining what it would be like to have each outlet programmable individually, but that is not the case. I can live with that. Its handy if you have multiple devices that need to come on at the same time. Im thinking of getting a second one of these in order to turn on a tool and dust collector in my shop at the same time verbally. This is a 15-amp socket so I wont be hooking up any heavy-duty pieces of equipment to it. So, for setup you just plug it in, open the Smart Life app, hit the add button, and press the on button on the device for 5 seconds. Things start to blink, and bingo within about 30 seconds it is setup. I changed the device name to Landscape Lights and was surprised that Alexa and Google both controlled it instantly even with the just changed name. No bugs, it just works. It needs a 2.4Ghz network Wi-Fi to work. I have both 2.4 and 5 and fortunately I didnt have to go into my router and shut off the 5 to get it working. Like I said, It just works. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

Just received this and added it to my SmartLife compatible app. It is a simple switch, so the outlets are all switched on and off at once, no individual control. I used it in an area of my yard that has a weak wi-fi signal, but it seems to have no problem connecting. The case looks nice, sturdy and even the screw holes are covered with rubber pads. I gave it 4 stars because it does not include any covers for the unused outlets. In my part of the world any open holes outdoors are filled by mud dabbers or otherwise infiltrated by insects. I covered the unused outlets with electrical tape. It should include at least 2 rubber outlet covers to ward off insects and moisture.

Ive used a bunch of these outdoor smart outlets, and was hoping this one would be more robust as it has three outlets instead of the more typical two. However, due to the compact design, I found that it kept getting water in the outlets and triggering the ground-fault circuit interruption (GFCI) shutoff. Other units have a little lip at the bottom which acts like roof flashing in your house, keeping water from creeping around the edge. I think its the lack of such a flange that causes this issue. If youre keeping this away from water (say inside a box or under an eave), you may have better luck. The other thing that wasnt stellar was that you need to push the power button on the actual unit to energize it after a power outage. Otherwise, it wont connect to the network. Considering the intent of this style of outlet is that it can be activated remotely, it would be better if it auto-resumed after an outage. It connects fine using Smart Life/Tuya Smart, offering control of each outlet individually on a 2.4Ghz network.
