> 24 hourAfter cleaning the tailgate with the required, rubbing alcohol, I put the entire decal set on in about 10 minutes. Don’t expect these decals to completely fill the end and Tatian’s. They’re not supposed to. The thickness of them gives a nice depth to the tailgate. Really enjoy the subtle patriotic design of the ones I purchased. 3M adhesive should last a good long time.

> 24 hourI ordered matte black letters. My truck is carbonized gray. Cleaned area with soapy water and dried. Then sprayed with Sprayway glass cleaner and wiped down. It was a bit cool so parked that the sun was on the tailgate. Instructions indicated that it works best when 60 degrees and above. The sun warmed the metal nicely and started to apply letters. Very easy to apply. Id say the fitment was 99% accurate. Be interesting to compare against the Ford OEM letters that you can order. Time will tell if the two sided tape is strong enough to hold up to years of Michigan weather.
