We are packing a gazillion boxes to move so, because of the reviews, I ordered some of this Tape King as a backup tape hoping it was better than the cheap stuff from Harbor Freight. Our go to tape for important packing is the Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape. I immediately noted that the Tape King tape comes off the roll harder than the Scotch and is obviously stickier than the Scotch. It is of a quite similar weight and does NOT tear easily, just like the Scotch. The price tho is VASTLY better than the Scotch so Im ordering a lot more and well be using this as our primary tape from now on. Great Stuff!!!

I needed this for sealing up boxes and it comes unstuck constantly. I will not be buying this brand again for sealing boxes. It is ok for sealing up mailing envelopes.

I love everything about this tape as I used it to move to a different state and I sell a lot of items online. The only thing it is missing is a good grip! The adhesive needs to be stickier!!

Very good for a generic brand tape. It is thicker than most other generic packing tape but not quite as thick as the Scotch brand...but this Tape King tape is cheaper so I am not surprised. Also the Tape King tape has a little bit stronger smell than Scotch but not nearly as strong as some of the other cheap generic tapes. Overall this tape is the best generic packing tape we have used.

I used the cheap tape at Walmart for Years This is SOOO much Better and at a better price for the QTY. you get!!!

As far as functionality, it fulfills it’s intended purpose pretty well. That said, this tape is Very Loud/Noisy. If it were being used in a production environment where noise was expected, this wouldn’t be an issue. However, I operate an online store and fulfill orders from my home (often late at night) and this tape is so loud that it would wake up others on the opposite side of my home. It does have an odor as others have said, but personally, that doesn’t bother me. If you are sensitive to smells though, it may or may not be an issue for you. I had previously been using Duck Brand EZ Start Tape but decided to look for a cheaper alternative due to its high price per roll. However, it looks like I’m going back to that one for now. If noise isn’t an issue for you though, this tape has a great price per roll and I’m sure will work just fine for you.

Im one of those people that spends too much time trying to find the best deal - or item - and so you can imagine how things went when I tried finding packing tape! I spent a long time trying to find a decent tape at a great price and I ended up finding this. Im in awe by how economical Tape King is. The only weird issue it has is that it is LOUD when you try tearing it off the roll. Also, the adhesion is so-so. Its perfect for my purposes and the way I tape boxes because theres a tiny bit of leverage I have to tear tape off if I need to--but its also not weak enough for me to worry about it coming off (especially because I tape up the sides too). The only time I had a problem was when I was trying to go over a torn spot on the box--for some reason it wasnt really sticking there so I had to put extra tape. Now Im only worried about it expiring before I can use them all...does tape expire? Who knows.
