> 24 hourFor some years now Ive been buying my tape at Dollar Tree. Its a thinner tape but it has always served me well. Unfortunately they are now charging the same for less. Originally, the rolls were 48 yds, then for years it was 45 yds and recently they dropped to a chintzy 35 yds. No longer such a great value. This tape by Tape King is quite thick. Ive had it push some packages over into the next oz. which on some packages is no problem but on others the postal increase shows. The tape has a good stick but depending on the cardboard you may need to overlap (sticking tape to tape) it to prevent peeling.

> 24 hourThis tape is great. It doesn’t constantly stick to itself and cause you headaches.

> 24 hourIf you’re looking for something as good as the name brand stuff, this is it. It costs less, but this is as thick as the good stuff (other genetics are made from thinner tape), and the adhesive is identically strong. No splitting or tearing; it peels smoothly and holds well.

> 24 hourAs far as functionality, it fulfills it’s intended purpose pretty well. That said, this tape is Very Loud/Noisy. If it were being used in a production environment where noise was expected, this wouldn’t be an issue. However, I operate an online store and fulfill orders from my home (often late at night) and this tape is so loud that it would wake up others on the opposite side of my home. It does have an odor as others have said, but personally, that doesn’t bother me. If you are sensitive to smells though, it may or may not be an issue for you. I had previously been using Duck Brand EZ Start Tape but decided to look for a cheaper alternative due to its high price per roll. However, it looks like I’m going back to that one for now. If noise isn’t an issue for you though, this tape has a great price per roll and I’m sure will work just fine for you.

> 24 hourI used these for packing a ton of cardboard and plastic boxes for moving. The tape is sturdy and performs about as well as the brandnames more familiar to us--which means that you have to take a second to smooth/push the tape down for it to stick well. The tape is not as sticky as I would have liked but I made no head to head comparisons so maybe my expectations are too high. I used a tape gun and this tape fit easily and I had no issues (except those related to the tape gun itself). One nice thing about the tape being a little thicker is that it was always easy to find the edge on the roll. Also, the tape never split lengthwise for me. I would give this a four and a half instead of a five but am rounding up today.

> 24 hourWere happy with this packing tape. Its much thicker than the ones we finished and adhesive, too. We dont feel the need to double- or triple-tape the packages so we use less and it means our supply will last longer. Prior to purchasing I was a little bummed the rolls are not as long as the other ones but ultimately chose this for its thickness and promise. Im glad I did. The thickness also contributes to its weight so I dont feel bad now for its total length; its quite heavy as is.
