This is definitely not what automakers use. This tape is very thin and the glue does not adhere well. I return it and purchased 3M brand. It is more money, but it is the best.

Works great and good deal for the price.

Fantastic stuff! Sticks very well to itself. Can easily be peeed and restuck. It does not leave a nasty sticky residue. It remains very pliable after use. I use it in my upholstery shop to wrap electrical harnesses and I wouldn’t use anything else. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for outdoor or outside the passenger compartment of a vehicle because it doesn’t seem like it would stand up real well to that but I have never tried it. Interior, I’d use nothing else.

This tape is awesome and the best alternative to that nasty, sticky plastic electrical tape. Love it!

Fuzzy tape. Makes looms like some OEs. Beware it may make you itchy if you handle it much after seeing years of weather.
