The Great Dalmuti

The Great Dalmuti has gone in and out of print over the years, and I have owned and given a number of decks. It is a very fun card game, best with five or six people, and well suited to playing in a family, a classroom, or anyplace people get a little bored. The subtitle is Life Is Unfair, because the game play penalizes you if you are not winning and helps you if you are. Even so, once kids get that, that very fact becomes part of the fun. Im a therapist and I work with teens and families and Ive often used this game in sessions. I have also used it in classrooms. It always becomes a favorite activity. Buy more than one; once you play, youll be giving them as gifts.

We were introduced to this game at a family Thanksgiving. It is perfect for for a game night, or any other time. There is a mixture of luck and strategy as you play your hand and respond as others play theirs. Playtime last for an hour or more depending on how the cards fall, but there is enough variation in the play to keep it from feeling too drawn out. We highly recommend this game.

I have introduced this game to people in several families on multiple continents, and it is always a hit- from age 6 to 96. It is a great way to teach principles of how our world operates while having a bll trying to climb up the ladder of success to occupy the Great Dalmutis throne.

My daughter came home from school and raved about playing this game. We ordered it and have had so much fun as a family! We had 11 players around a table from my 8 year old nephew to my 70 year old father having fun together! We stayed up until 11 pm and didnt know where the time went. Simple but strategic. Buy this game for great family time.
