This is a great, step by step, instructional manual. The directions are easy to understand and the many pictures really show whats supposed to happen. This book has helped me more than the rug hooking classes Ive taken.

I first borrowed this title from my local library. After ten minutes, I realized what a goldmine this book was, and I made a dash for the Amazon website to find my own copy. It was a good move. This book is a keeper! From a discussion of fabrics, cutters, and hooks, the book moves on to technique. It provides really close-up photos of every step of the rug hooking process. If youre still learning the craft, you know how helpful this can be. There are patterns for, and photos of, many kinds of finished products; these are both helpful and inspirational. Finishing the product--from pillows to wallhangings to stand-up snowmen--is explained and demonstrated. Is this a trendy book? No. Is it a really, really helpful learn-the-basics-and-want-to-start-hooking-rugs-immediately book? You bet.
