> 24 hourI have yet to be as engrossed in a YA novel since Harry Potter. The Twin Prophecies, grabs your attention from the very beginning and leaves you begging for you more at the end. An engrossing tale of two teenagers who share a common bond of losing their parents and being thrust into a life that is beyond their control. I cant wait until the next novel; I know what Im treating myself to for Christmas.

> 24 hourLet me start out by saying, I can not believe that a major publishing house hasnt picked this book/series up! Twin Prophecies follows high school sophomores Violet Ross and Jack Morrow who are strangers until secrets begin to unfold that bring them together. They both struggle with abilities they have kept hidden from everyone around them. Violet is an empath, Jack can see the future when he touches people. As circumstances throw them together, they learn to trust one another and find they arent as alone as each of them had thought. Guided by prophecies predicting the end of the world, the mysterious Dr. Tesla - who leads an alliance of supernatural beings - helps Jack and Violet come to terms with this secret world, control the growing powers within them, and face an unspeakable evil determined to possess their very souls. When I first picked the book up and started reading I had my doubts. As I read the first page I thought to myself, oh no, shes going to describe the town and every little secret ever kept. Then I turned the page and nearly laughed out loud. I was hooked from that point on! This book is well written and flows easily from one scene to the next. Nina Perez did an outstanding job developing the story and has left me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for more!

> 24 hourThis is a YA book for ALL ages. The storyline and strong characters grab you early on and carry you through a solid plot line that isnt transparent in the usual YA way. The ending leaves you feeling fulfilled, but still leaves you looking forward to the next installment. This book is new and fresh in an over saturated genre. The Twin Prophecies: Rebirth has all the makings for a exciting new series!

> 24 hourThough it was geared towards a YA crowd I found myself caught up in the story line and truly disappointed when the book ended. I cant wait for the sequel! Jack and Violet are teenage characters that could turn into typical stereotypes but they retain a reality and likability throughout the book. The use of vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches and warlocks was smartly underdone to let the reader get to learn about the backstory of the teens. You know the other beings are there but they dont overshadow. Their supernatural abilities are brought to the foreground at the end, when the reader is comfortable with their presence. I cant wait to see how the next book develops everyone.

> 24 hourI thought this book was nicely written, and the story line was ok, but the book suffered from lack of character development. I think it could have been about 100 pages longer, and the author could have gone a little more slowly when introducing the main characters. I felt that they were pretty one dimensional. I didnt particularly care when the climax occurred, mostly because I didnt particularly care about the protagonists. However, the basic premise is pretty fun and the concept has series potential for sure. I didnt *love* it, but it wasnt BAD, and the writing was actually decent. Kudos to the authoress for trying something new, I wish her luck, and hope this review is taken in the spirit it is intended, ie, an honest opinion, with no motive other than impartial feedback.

> 24 hourWow. Starting reading this today and could not put it down! I love how I can get involved in this book as an adult even though it is a YA novel. The characters and storyline keep me involved and wanting more. I dont want to ruin anything for anyone who is thinking of buying this book, so Ill just say this: Stephanie Meyer needs to step up her game now that Nina Perez is on the market!

> 24 hourNina Perezs character and scene development are strong. She makes it effortless for the reader to envision it all in their minds eye. The teens (a boy and girl) in this book are completely believable. Their thoughts, conversations and actions are current and very realistic. This is a must read for anyone who loves vampires, magic, witches and such. I appreciate that the female teen character in this book is not the must get the boy or die type. She is smart, strong, not too perfect and, in this readers opinion, a much better model for teen girls. This author leaves you yearning for the next installment!
