I love this book about one of my favorite people, Helen Keller. I am giving this book ONE STAR for the sole purpose of AMAZONS CRAZY CATEGORY PEOPLE. I have written numerous times to Amazoms help people, whom I am sure never even heard of Helen Keller and her amazingly encouraging life. This book is listed in the CRIME AND CRIMALS section under POLITICS heading for Kindle users. PLEASE, even if you are not a Kindle owner and, if you agree with me, write in to Amazon to request the removal of this book from such a horrendous category. I truly give this book a FIVE STAR RATING for this, and her other two books that have wound up in this category. Thank you Amazon readers for you help! I loved this book, it explained her thoughts and how she felt in such great detail that I want to read it all again!

This is an excellent book. I had no idea what life would be like without sight or hearing. Great story by an amazing woman.

It was ok

It is a difficult read, I like the book, but only once.

As a nurse, I deal with a lot of patient challenges but reading this gave me a new perspective of the challenges vision & hearing impaired patients go through. This showed me that my perception was way off. Great book! Easy to read & understand. Highly recommend it!

Remarkable person. Obviously she was a genius. If she’d had five senses instead of three, wow! God did some amazing things through her.

I just started reading it and already hard to put it down.

This is an amazing book by an amazing human being. I truly do not understand how a person could construct a sophisticated, subtle, and comprehensive understanding of the world with only the sense of taste, smell, and touch. Absolutely miraculous. A great testimony to God and to the human spirit. Each essay is a little gem, easy to read. If they dont bring a lump to your throat, you may lead the unexamined life.
