> 3 dayMy new (from used parts, but still excellent) computers CPU had been overheating and triggering the hardware auto-shutoff (for which Im grateful that even exists) as a result. Tasks that would run without overheating on another computer would overheat this one (it would quickly get to 80 degrees celsius plus, where ~65C is a safe operating temperature for this CPU). I ordered some of this thermal paste and just installed it between the heatsink and CPU, and powered it back up and ran a task that had overheated it before.
