Greater than one weekI looked at a LOT of flashcard options. Being an educator, I was appalled by most options. Other cards were very confusing because they had the answer to back problem on the front of the card, where you were looking at a completely different problem. This runs the risk of confusing kids on so many levels and made it difficult to use those cards in math centers (when you want to carefully pick and choose which options are out). Also NONE of the cards had anything visual at all to demonstrate the math... and mass memorization is not true learning. Besides most kids dont mass memorize anything without some context or meaning to it. After looking at pages and pages of flashcards, I had nearly given up hope and thought I would have to make my own flashcards (who wants all that work and laminating?). Finally, i found this set of flashcards. What a blessing! Yes these flashcards are more expensive... but they did addition flashcards the RIGHT way. First, every problem has its own card - no sharing, no conflicting answers, and very straight forward. Second, it displays the problem on front and the answer on back.... and that answer is shown VISUALLY. No cards on the market are as good as these. I immediately bought all 4 boxes.

> 3 dayThink Tank Scholar has created a set of addition flash cards that are a bit above the typical department store offerings. They offer addition facts up to 12, parsed into each numeral, e.g. all the zero facts, ones facts, etc. up to 12. On the back of the card is the answer and something novel; an illustration of what would be a manipulative or counter explanation of the process. To explain; 3 + 4 = 7 would show a row of seven squares, with one numeral (the first addend) colored in differently than the second - the photos explain this better than my words). Another nice feature are the little divider cards to show where a student is in the math facts memorization fluency department. Its a nice personalized touch if you were using these at home, but rather impractical in a classroom where these would be shared.

> 3 dayIm very happy with these flash cards. We have been using a set with our second grader that only had 72 subtraction facts and the cards were double sided. After going through three kids the cards were a bit beat. This set is quite nice. the cards are a nice large size and the solution to the problem is on the reverse side of the card. The cards are nice quality and they come packaged in a nice durable flip top box that should withstand the test of time and being used for our daughter and her two younger siblings over the years. These cards are great for home use, but they would also be great in a classroom setting for math fact drills. I like that the box for the card comes with dividers for cards that are mastered, ones the child is working on and other that havent been covered. This is great for when your child is just beginning to learn math facts. The cards are also color coded so if you just want to work on one type of math fact (all -1, for example) you can select those colored cards and work on them.

> 3 dayI am really happy with these addition flashcards from Think Tank Scholar. I homeschool my 6-year-old son and these flashcards, along with the use of workbooks, are wonderful for reinforcing addition skills. I can see why these flashcards are award winning! They are nice and sturdy, not flimsy like others on the market. They come in a very nice box, that allows them to stay organized with filing tabs. The math equation is on the front and the answer, along with the written equation, is on the reverse. The equation is very clear with the addition symbol included in the answer. These are so simple and so great! Im thrilled with these and will be buying more from the Think Tank Scholar series.

Greater than one weekThe box is perfect size and holds a lot of cards. The tabs are great when reviewing the math cards with our son. We do it if he answers within a couple seconds, it goes in the mastered pile. If it takes more then a few seconds we use “needs work” and if he is wrong is goes in the remaining tab. It really does work great for organization and providing visual feedback. At the end we can show him how much he really knows, which inspires him. He likes keeping the math cards organized on his own too. The cards are sturdy and just the right thickness. You cannot see through them. The visual guide on the back with the answer will likely help some kids visualize how the math works out. The numbers are clear and easy to read. Both parents and our son have no problem understanding the numbers and what is being asked. Whether your child needs help or you want to further improve their basic math skills, I recommend going with this product. You won’t be disappointed if you like the look and what you just read from my review.

> 3 dayLove the product but Amazon did not provide any protective shipping materials so the boxes on the side were dented. I am returning and going to try buying from the original companies website.
