> 24 houri did the project with my 7 year old- he loved it. only advice, make sure you pre-wash any new t-shirts , otherwise the colours will come out very pale after the first wash . for retaining the brightness of the colours even more, you can rinse the tie - dyed t-shirts in table vinegar solution after they “ incubate “ overnight but before they are washed for the first time .

I only soaked one shirt in soda ash before dyeing and the vibrancy seems to be the same on all the shirts so I think you could definitely skip that part since this kit doesn’t come with it anyway. The colors mixed well and didn’t stain my sink or skin like the others usually do.

Warm Tips:
1.Apply dye within 45 minutes after mixing. Otherwise, the vividness of the color will be weakened.
2. Before washing the dyed fiber, please make sure it is already dry.
3.You can get a lighter color by adding more water.
4.Please avoid direct eyes and skin contact with this product.
5.Ventilate during use and wash hands after use. If you accidentally touch your eyes and skin, rinse with water and seek medical help.
6.Great to use with fabric like cotton, rayon of super absorbent material for best results.
