> 3 dayOk, sooooo I saw the Tim Holtz micro serrated scissor snips (man is that a mouthful or what let me take a rest and catch my breath for a sec....) I purchased the 9 pair and WOW I loved them right out the package. You know WHY??? The screw that holds them together does not protrude out so far like other scissors. It is bad enough if I draw a straight line with a ruler Im still all over the place (cant stay on a straight line for nothing in the world ha ha ha) so when I finally do get on that straight and narrow path cutting perfectly mid way through why whyyyyyy the devil jump out at me throwing me off with those big ole knot bolts they put in these scissors these days. I am trying to hold the card stock fuzzy cutting to just snipin and snapin it off and throwing the good pieces in my scrap piles.

> 3 dayI already have the large scissors that cut chipboard as well as paper or fabric with their long blades. While cutting EZ mat sticky foam I realized I would benefit from having these smaller scissors as well. This package of two was the best price and I knew that if I only got the smallest ones Id be sorry I didnt get both. They are very sharp and will cut perfectly to the very tip of the blade. I had fun making tiny little cuts! I thought my other scissors were ok until I got these. Look online for Tim Holtz videos where he mentions the scissors and some of the unexpected features.

> 3 dayI really like Tim Holtz products. I didnt, however, realize how small the handles were on the snips. If I were designing these, Id make the handles the same as the larger pair.

> 3 dayI like the soft large handles because they dont hurt my hands and my arthritic joints do not get stuck in the thumb hole like they always do with regular scissor styles. They give you two sizes which is a bargain because I would pay this price just for the large scissors. They are very sharp and stay true all the way to the tip - no dull spots. The seem to keep their edge and the blades are finely ground to a precision cutting surface so your cuts are very crisp. The claim is that the micro-serrated edge maintains sharpness which seems to be true. I will know more after using them longer. The only thing i dont like about them is the micro-serrations grab at the paper so you must remember not to try to slide the scissors forward as you cut. The best method I can recommend is to move the paper, not the scissors, which takes some getting used to, but for sure, you can make finer cuts with these than regular school scissors or ordinary craft scissors. Dont allow kids to use them without appropriate guidance because they are extremely sharp. They come with blade covers and I recommend keeping them sheathed when not using.
