I tried installing a different brand which stated it was compatible but after all the work of pulling apart my screen, removing the computers guts, and putting it all back together with adhesive. It didnt work. The RAM upgrade/install is not hard, it just takes a steady hand and attention to detail. I redid everything and installed these modules and ... Wallah! Mac is reading the sticks correctly. everything is as it should be. The RAM and SDD upgrades were a huge improvement to the computer and brought my machine back to life. I will likely get another 2-3 years out of my computer than i would have before. If youre on the fence about this purchase, just go for it. If it allows you to use that mac a couple of years longer, than its worth it.
