Greater than one weekMy i-Mac was getting slow and, after a little investigation, I determined that my RAM needed an upgrade. I found Timetec Hynix IC 16GB KIT(2x8GB) on line and ordered it. I watched a youtube video on how to change them out. It was easy. It literally took more time to get the screw driver out than it did to replace the cards.
