Greater than one weekThis is a true mechanical keyboard with backlighting, all for roughly the cost of a membrane one. The tenkeyless design makes it compact and maneuverable, and the backlight makes it easy to see at night. I prefer Blue switches for typing so I tried the Red version of this for gaming. Red switches have no tactile bump or feedback but allow you to hold at the actuation point for rapid actuation (unlike Blues which need to be lifted above the actuation point) which makes them the better choice for gaming. Dont expect hardware macros or other fancy features at this price but its a solid no-frills keyboard with some cool lighting effects.

> 3 dayI have to say that this is a great keyboard. The keys click similar to the older style IBM clicky keyboards. I did not expect the keys to be illuminated. This is great for people that need to glance at the keyboard in the dark. I also discovered that the keyboard features different light show modes. Most are different wave animations and sort of breathing animations. One of the modes is a keypress light show that light up the keys you press sort of like water waves. Except for the steady light mode, I find most of the light effects a novelty and not particularly utilitarian. Besides a long white USB-A to USB-C cable and manual with Function key actions, it also came with a mysterious white plastic ring or poop object with clips. Nowhere in the manual does it describe the purpose of this plastic ring. Anywho, the keyboard is great. I use it instead of my laptop’s mushy keys for most typing. The illuminated keys make it easy for my fingers to find their way in the dark (I can’t type properly).

> 3 dayI love the color of the keyboard and the backlight. The keys are very responsive and easy to type with. It has red mechanical switches and you can remove the keycaps with the included keycaps puller. I dont think you can swap out the switches as it may be attached to the PCB. Its not as clicky as I thought it would be. The layout of the keys works perfect for me and Im so glad it has the directional keys. Kinda miss the numpad but then again it would be a full sized keyboard if it had the numpad. Also love that it has the function keys. It has four rubber pads on the back but no actual feet stand.

> 3 daySave some cash and get into a mechanical. It may not be full sized and lacking some customization features but it looks and feels good and comes and a low price point.

17-11-2024I like the overall value you get with the dual pack. They both came changed under 50% so a bit extra work when you first get them, but for what you get at the price I am impressed. Charge well and effectively. I have the name brand competitor as well, iWalk, and these are doing just as well so far, though I will have to verify longevity over time, at first appearances a great value.

> 3 dayI tested a handful of cheap gaming keyboards. I can recommend this one without any caveats. Its not particularly fancy, I found it pretty easy and enjoyable to use. I think its great for the price. As far as the look of this keyboard, I like the simple all white keycaps with. It is backlit, but only in a blue-ish white color. I like the aesthetic because its not trying to look like an *xtreme gamer* keyboard. I could take this into my office and use it without feeling silly. In fact, this would totally work for the cozy gamer aesthetic. I found the keyboard to be a pleasure to use. I like that it has dedicated arrow keys (the other 60% keyboard that I tested did not). The red switches feel responsive, and arent noisy like blue switches. It actually felt as good to type on as another keyboard I tested that was 3 times the price. I was impressed. This, of course, is the most important feature of the keyboard: typing. It connects via a USB-C cable that is included. Its not a coiled aviator-style cable, which is a little bit of a bummer. However, it should be compatible with any USB cable to fit whatever look youre going for. I think its a fine trade-off if this is how they keep the price low... as opposed to cutting corners on the keyboard itself. The question with budget gear almost always ends up being the longevity of the tech. As always, Ill update this review if the keyboard fails over time.

> 3 dayIm using this keyboard in a dental office clinical setting so its not being used for gaming or constant typing. The white color gives it a clean/sterile appearance appropriate for a medical or dental office. I have no need for the LED lighting so wont be able to comment on that although it appears to have a set pattern & not fully customizable except for 3 levels of brightness. The keyboard is very compact so saves lots of room on the countertop but it is fairly thick so you will definitely need a wrist rest if youre going to be using it for more than an hour or two. Keystroke travel is deep (probably twice as deep as those on a laptop) and the red switches are supposed to be quiet but you can still hear the clicking as you type which may be objectionable in the bedroom for some who are light sleepers. The compactness & removable USB cable makes it convenient for travel but it requires a learning curve since most keys have multiple functions. I wish the labeling on the keys is more legible or at least easier on the eyes. Either make it darker or color code the different functions on each key for easier typing. I believe it will get easier with use and practice.

18-11-2024Pros Compact Quality mechanical brown switches USB C port so the cable is replaceable Cons Very tall keys so a wrist support is required to type at a comfortable angle Kinda loud but that is expected No angle adjustments, only flat
