> 24 hourI was fairly skeptical, but I thought for the price it’s worth trying. I was pleasantly surprised with the picture! I use it with a fire stick and it works great. The fan isn’t loud however the sound is not quite loud enough for more then a few people. I need to find a speaker a solution.

> 24 hourI purchased an earlier projector from TMY two years ago (the V08 1280x720P model) so we could watch outdoor movies on the patio with our five grandchildren. The projector worked well with my 100 diagonal screen, but only when it was very dark outside. So, I was eager to see how this new projector would compare, especially in the brightness department. The first thing I did was compare the brightness of the new model (1080P native) with the one I purchased two years ago (720P native). I dont own a light meter, so I used something called the inverse square law to compare the projectors brightness. (You can skip this paragraph if math phobia is setting in. :^) ) I set the new 1080P projector 72 inches from the screen and then moved the older, dimmer 720P projector toward the screen until it appeared to be equal in brightness. This happened at a distance of 44 inches. In other words, this newer projector achieves the same screen brightness at a distance that is approximately 72/44 = 1.64 times farther from the screen. The inverse square law says that light intensity (assuming spherical spreading, as in this case) decreases with the inverse of the square of distance. Therefore, the new projector is approximately 1.64*1.64 = 2.7 times brighter than the earlier 720P model. The new projector has an industry-standard brightness of 320ANSI, so Im guessing the earlier version was around 120ANSI, though it wasnt rated at that time. (Thanks for using the industry standard for brightness!) In my mind, this is a big deal, and it makes the new model well worth purchasing. In practical terms, it means: (1) The new projector would achieve the same brightness with a 164-inch diagonal screen as my older projector achieved using a 100-inch screen, or (2) We could enjoy brighter, more vivid movies outdoors, or (3) We could start the movies earlier in the evening, when its not as dark, and get the grandkids to bed earlier! Okay, enough about brightness. In most other areas, the new projector was equally impressive. Contrast and color correction were good. The 1080P resolution helps reduce pixelation effects, especially if you use a large screen (and your grandkids sit close to the screen.) The lens is a larger diameter than the older model, which should help reduce distortion effects (I didnt notice any). And I thought the mechanical focus and keystone controls worked more smoothly than the earlier model. The negatives were minor, and barely worth mentioning. Theres a little more fan noise, but it wasnt objectionable - and its a reasonable trade-off to get the higher-power LED light source needed for improved brightness (that waste heat has to go somewhere!). Another nit: My older eyes found it hard to read the top-panel controls, especially in a dimly lit room. But the solution was easy: take an ultra-fine tip Sharpie marker, and retrace the indentations in the controls (OK, arrows, ON/OFF, etc.) Its a simple 60-second fix that makes a great product that much easier to use. Oh, one more thing. When I reviewed the earlier model two years ago, I noted that the 1/4-20 threaded brass insert on the bottom wasnt threaded deep enough for my camera tripod (which I use for outdoor movies). This new model has deeper threads to fix that minor issue. Kudos to the engineers!

> 24 hourBuy this!! Without a doubt this projector is amazing quality and a great price!! The picture is so clear and crisp and its really easy to navigate and use! These pictures were when it was bright/daytime and my son and I were excited to give the projector a try even though it wasnt night! The picture was SO clear and easy to see even in this lighting! I cant wait for warmer weather to take it outside and have such easy connect since its bluetooth. I dont always like to read directions and this projector was very easy to navigate and work if you are like me- haha! If you do like directions, they were very simple and easy to follow! This is going to make summer nights with family and/or neighbor kids fun and easy to set up/tear down! I could not have been happier with my purchase!

> 24 hourI am amazed by the quality of these projectors! This is an upgrade to our previous one that did not have wifi. That one was great but this one is even better. The picture quality is incredible and it was so easy and quick to setup. My two little ones were so excited to watch a movie on the wall in their playroom so I was thankful that setup went so smooth. You literally plug the projector in, connect to wifi, adjust picture and clarity, and youre good to go. I would recommend using a firestick as Ive always had the best success with that and you then are able to watch just about anything. You can also mirror a device and watch that way, or manually connect to your device. The firestick remote controls the projector once its plugged in and setup so you dont have to worry about a bunch of different remotes. The sound is also great and I dont think we will have any issues using this outdoors. These pictures were taken in daylight with the shades shut so at nighttime in total darkness or outside you would get an even better quality picture. You also dont have to get a projector screen if you dont have one, it has never really been needed for us indoors or out. We cant wait to take it outside this summer and watch movies in the pool!

> 24 hourItem is packaged securely and everything is there that you might need in including an HDMI cable and obligatory RCA audio cable. I opted to connect to my Bluetooth speaker which was very easily setup through the menus. I used a Chromecast for media. Navigating the menus was easy and getting a movie on for the kids was quick. I have TMYs prior model projector and this is a marked improvement. Menus are snappier, picture is brighter and resolution is very good especially for the price point. Great backyard projector and we look forward to more movie nights. Some pictures attached of packaging, included accessories and picture quality.

> 24 hourThis projector was so easy to setup. After unboxing I connected it to my WiFi, which was quick and easy. I then watched Shazam using the iOS mirroring function. I then watched the new Scream movie, photos attached, via streaming device plugged into HDMI. The picture quality was great on both movies. The internal sound was very good, but connecting it to a bluetooth speaker really cranks up the movie experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this for great family movie nights.

> 24 hourIm loving this projector. With the warmer weather weve been watching movies outside several times per week. Here are the pros: - Brightness is great! The kids often dont want to wait for full dark, and weve been using this at dusk. - Bluetooth works really well. My last projector I had to hook up to a mini-amp / external speakers via 3.5mm audio jack. This projector syncd seamlessly with my JBL Boombox 2 and has no audio/video delay distortion. - Wifi connectivity was easy and works great. - Miracast to the rescue! The HDMI port on my laptop stopped working, so when we first started using this projector I had it hooked up to my BlueRay player via HDMI, which works great. However, we wanted to leverage our streaming options. I downloaded a Miracast app, followed the on-screen instructions from the projector to select it as an output device, and BAM, it just works. Of course, this ties up your phone or other device that is casting, but until I get a new laptop this is very helpful. The only potential con I have found is that the fan can be quite loud. I havent actually noticed it while watching a movie because the JBL boombox is putting out such rich sound. If you use the built-in speaker it might be more noticeable.

> 24 hourI had the older model and was also satisfied with it but the larger our screen got the more the image became unclear. I suffer from poor eye sight and when I can, I try to get the clearest image as possible. So this was a WONDERFUL upgrade! Quick to setup and easy to use. This will be our new projector for our screened in porch and our older model for inside the home or travel. I hardly ever write reviews but this was a fantastic upgrade and I’m excited for the summer and fall movie nights!
