Greater than one weekThese are really dinky, so, I was a bit skeptical when I first opened them. Still, I decided to try them out on an aluminum beam so I could have a place to hang my coat in my office. The package contains some thin, flat discs that have adhesive so you can stick them anywhere you want a hook, which I thought meant a whole new world for me! Very exciting stuff!!! The magnets have a very strong attraction to each other (use caution so they dont catch and pinch part of your finger). They stick to the discs very well, but I bought them for hanging jackets, hats and scarves. I have a lightweight coat that I estimate weighs10lbs at the most. After mounting the magnet to a disc, I hung my coat; the magnet started to slide off the disc. Then both magnet and coat fell on the floor. I thought an additional magnet would work. Two magnets could not support the weight of the lightweight coat! I could not be more disappointed! I ended up using hooks to hang some coasters on the beam, rather than returning the purchase. I think the hooks would be more suited for holding coffee mugs, keys, and items that weigh up to 5lbs. I considered buying the ones that claim to hold up to 100lbs, but why set myself up for disappointment?

> 3 dayThese magnetic hooks are very sturdy! You have to pull really hard to detach them. They come with small circular dots which you can attach to another type of surface and then attach the magnetic hook to the magnet (opposite side of dot). It really works! They are smaller than shown in the picture though (I didn’t check the measurements), but worked for me.

> 3 dayThis is the magnet for you if you need to hang something heavy. I could barely pull each magnet apart when I opened the packaging. They work great and even come with a plastic sticker protector to put over the magnet to keep it from scratching the surface, but I’ve not had to use that. As strong as they are, I don’t see that inhibiting the adhesion.

> 3 dayThese were smaller than I anticipated for the strength advertised. The magnet is slightly smaller than a quarter. the hook part is about 1.25 long. They stick very well to a steel shelf that I have. They stick ok to my magnetic dry erase board. if you push on the hook toward the dry erase board it is sticking to, it might disconnect from the board. For non heavy things it works well on the dry erase board. I wish they were slightly bigger for the price I paid, but otherwise I am happy with them.

Greater than one weekThis is my second purchase of these and Im still very pleased. They are fairly strong and I use them to hand on the outside of my garage door tracks to hang items. On my drill press to hold bit bags, scroll saw stand etc...

> 3 dayIf your only magnet experience is normal magnets, rare earth magnets are ludicrously strong.

> 3 dayThese are very good quality magnetic hooks. I got them to hold up this metal rack with all my spices on it and put it against my fridge, but they kept sliding down. I didnt realize my spices weighed so much, so Im going to have to look for another solution, but these are very strong magnets, it took some effort to pull them off the metal surfaces. I ended up using these on my daughters bed to hang her backpacks and on the front door for masks and keys. Sigh. For reference, my metal spice rack holds more than 18 spices and I keep them in the original containers. So, that may weigh more than I thought. xD
