The surface seems kind of slick, I can live with that because it appears to be water resistant. The case gives me the added protection without a lot of bulk that I need when working in the outdoors and carrying the Tablet in the pick-up truck in rough and dusty conditions. A $15 investment is well worth the protection of a $500 Tablet. I am completely satisfied with the case and would highly recommend it to everyone.
