The blanket does leak. It’s not 100% waterproof it also has a funny smell when u wash it.

Supper confortable

This blanket is great for keeping the bed clean during fun times! I like the two different colors to choose from, too, though I usually go with purple. The only issue is that it does sometimes throw the washing machine off balance/make it dance across the floor until it stops with the uneven load error, no matter which cycle it is on, but it is still worth it. I do also have to add an extra rinse cycle to it or else the detergent wont entirely wash out, probably due to the waterproof layer, but thats not a problem. It can be easily spot-washed if you didnt make a big mess, but hopefully that doesnt happen to you often!

I was TERRIFIED to wash this after so many reviews .... well it was not a problem! This worked perfect at keeping our bed dry during and briefly after it got pretty wet. Initially liquid beaded on top but then did soak in and didnt leak through. Our bed stayed dry FINALLY. This fabric is heavier than expected cause its so thin and there isnt any weird crinkle noises when you lie on it. I could leave it out than just when it could be needed but I dont because it JUST covers the top of a queen bed. Back to this washing and drying thing.... I washed it normally and due to the terrible washing reviews, and honestly it felt a bit heavy at the end of washing, I used an extra spin cycle. Checked and it was fine. I popped it into the dryer on low heat for 1 cycle which is 20 minutes long and voila, its dry. I hope it continues this easily and cant imagine it wouldnt.... just such a wonderfully different experience from other reviews Ive read. This blanket is a game changer for wet moments and I can not wait to get more in case they change how its made!
