The blocks can be put into a hole on the back and not just through the right shape hole. So it is a toy for a wider age group. Actually, our four-year old grandson plays with the shape sorter too. It works as a dump truck and it turns like a cement truck. It even has a removable driver. I think it needs a longer pull cord so that the 18-month old can walk with it. This is a quality toy at a good price.
