I bought this for my baby at 7 weeks old, and I just wish I’d had it sooner. Ended up buying a second one to send to daycare so she naps better. You NEED this for your newborn. We were struggling with sleep, and it didn’t help that she woke up the second you set her in the crib. This helped so much with that transition, and she wakes less at night now too. 100% recommend.

I had this on our registry and had high hopes after reading the reviews and how it was recommended in the Montessori book we read. But a friend purchased it for us and we were pretty disappointed with it. It’s really flat and the cover reminds me of a cheap, rough pillow case. We didn’t feel it’s worth $70 at all and ended up returning it.

So far so good. I like it for holding my baby when I’m on the couch or transferring him to other people. It’s easy to clean as well!

I was surprised how useful this little pad is. We call it the topper around the house and we dont leave home without it! The topper made breastfeeding positions and handling the baby so much easier. As a first time breastfeeding mom, half the struggle is positioning your sometimes wriggling newborn. The topper allowed me to bring the baby close and change angles and positions very easily. I actually attribute my success in breastfeeding (in part) to this topper. Besides this, we just loved making the baby cozy in the topper without swaddling him - which we did not want to swaddle him. This was a great alternative. I have even wrapped a blanket around it to make it like a swaddle. Its just a really nice, easy and simple was to handle a newborn.

I’m so glad I spent the money on this topponcino. At first I got a cheaper one from Etsy that was cute and everything but it was designed not to use any covers. It claimed to be machine washable but after washing it for just the third time the filling got ruined. So I decided to buy this one and an extra cover and I am so glad I did! I love that the covers are easily machine washable. I’ve had to spot clean the actual pillow and sun dry it and it was fine. This is a must have for picking up my newborn it makes it so easy and I feel like I don’t disturb her as much. Makes picking her up while she’s sleeping so much easier. I think this was the most important purchase for my baby! Highly recommend for any expecting parent!

I am so glad I purchased the Toppincino!!! I researched all the top sleepers from the Dockatot to the SnuggleMe Organic and seriously you don’t need to pay $$$ for quality! I’m a huge snob so I was willing to spend a lot. Then I researched the Montessori lifestyle and bought the pad. My daughter loves to do tummy time, exercise and education time, and sleep time on her pad. It says you shouldn’t wash it, but I have on a low setting and air dried it with no issues. I’m gonna be so sad when she grows out of it, because it really is an asset in our lives right now. I followed the directions and slept with it prior to her being born, but I did not bring it to the hospital. I have recommended the Toppincino to all my expecting friends.

Comes with a cover but works fine without. Cool material.
