These were wider than expected but not totally unwelcome. I love the screw caps, also wasnt expecting that. Im giving 3 stars because while the tins themselves are awesome and well made, they arrived damaged and it was completely avoidable. The tins were shipped all crammed into a small box, jumbled inside and when I got the box I could hear all the rattling. When I opened it there was zero wrapping or protection for the tins and most have dented lids, which was not cool. At first I didnt even notice the dents, but once I started taking them out and moving them in the light, it was apparent. Now, for my purpose, those lids will be getting a label/sticker on it and so I anticipate most of the damage will not show, and Im choosing not to return them because I need them now. If I didnt need them so urgently or if I wasnt covering the lids Id have to send them back. The way they are shipped will almost guarantee the tins will arrive damaged.

They are as advertised. There is a lining that is removable in the lid. good container. Remove the lining in the lid if used for char cloth. UPDATE These are not good for making char cloth. I placed one in a fire and waited for it to finish. When I tried to remove the lid the entire container crushed. THESE ARE NOT GOOD FOR MAKING CHAR CLOTH! good for storage but do not put them in a fire.

They are perfect for lotion bars.

For me these are serving the purpose of holding my hand made hand salve. They fit a 2 glossy Avery label with room to spare. I LOVE that they twist close. If people write negative reviews b/c they are received damaged etc. Lets remember 2 things. #1/ Aluminum is the softest metal. It dings and dents. I had a few w/ a couple of minor pin hole dings. Nothing i would lose sleep over and the label covered it perfectly. #2/ If you do receive them dented, contact the seller before you leave a scathing review. I havent found this item cheaper which surprises me. I really like them and would recommend them. THANK YOU!

Bought these for lotion bars. Perfect size and I like that they’re simple and you can put your own labels on the lid. They arrived in good condition, no damage. The one thing I don’t like is the lid is kind of a production to get on and off. It’s a screw on lid which is nice for security (not going to pop off in your purse) but it takes several rotations to get on and off. I want to be able to get to my lotion bar quickly and then get back to whatever I’m doing. Maybe I should just try the pop on/off kind. These are good though if you’re more concerned with security than convenience.

Containers are a little bit bigger than I was expecting. I bought these so I could carry a smaller amount of things like Bag Balm around since I can only find the larger containers in stores around me. These are definitely too big for things like lip balm, like the title would have you believe. This was one of those purchases where the pack of 24 was not that different in price than a 2-pack. I ended up buying 24. The problem is, now I need to find a use for the remaining 22 containers I haven’t used. They definitely serve their purpose and now I can keep a small container in my lunchbox at work instead of a giant tin.

Ive been making homemade balms and these are a great size for hand salves. The large tins you get are typically 3 oz so while these are a bit smaller, its better for homemade stuff. They are aluminum and will dent relatively easily. Threads work well for opening/closing. No seal inside other than the threads. I typically use equal parts beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil and almond oil with essential oils added for a nice scent.

This is a re-order of the 2 oz tins, and I was pleased enough with the first ones to order the 1-oz. size, too. This was for my venture into making herbal salves from my dehydrated and oil-extracted flowers and herbs. The screw-on lids fit well and securely, yet are easier to remove to use the product, rather than the ones that fit by friction alone The edges are well rounded for safety with no sharp edges, and the lid diameter is perfect for the 2 1/2 inch round labels that are readily available for printing at home. I will caution that they dent easily when dropped, so take a bit of extra care to avoid disfiguring your products.
