It has a slot to slide it into your carry on and best of all, it looks great. I got tired of traveling with backpacks as they make me look like a school kid. This bag is classy, and yet a super comfortable travel addition. Comes with a long strap too but I prefer the handbag handles as it just feels like a big purse then. Go buy it, no regrets. PS: To test durability I put my 22lb poodle in the bag and ran around the house. Bag seems fine, poodle is mad.
