> 24 hourA great umbrella! Ive had a Totes umbrella for almost 20 years now, so I trust this companys quality. This one is attractive, and opens and closes by itself (put you do have to push it down back by hand to close the handle.) Its not the rainy season here yet, but I tried it in my shower, and the water does roll off quickly. It also makes a great shade parasol. Its not very large, so definitely for one person only. But its small enough to fit in a tote bag or most briefcases.

> 24 hourI had to wait to be able to use the Totes Auto Open Close Umbrella with SunGuard because it had been dry in Maryland for a while. I finally got the chance to use this lovely umbrella recently. It has the usual Totes high quality of workmanship. It actually is an automatic open and close umbrella, not like the ones that seem to jam up during a downpour. It is cute, too. If you need a new umbrella (and you probably do), buy the Totes Auto Open Close Umbrella with Sun Guard. Or if you need a gift for one of those weird Christmas exchanges where youre not sure who you are buying for, this is a great gift idea.

> 24 hourIt works pretty well. It’s a little hard to close, but closes okay and opens like a dream, which is nice when getting out of car in a storm. I think it’s the same one they used for Lucy in “Only Murders In The Building.” If not, it’s close! :)

> 24 hourThis umbrella is fairly compact. Folded up, its about a foot in length and can fit in a large purse.Theres a large button that you press to fully and instantly open the umbrella. You also use it to close it, although the rod doesnt retract - you need to push it down. I dont know how strong a wind it can withstand, but the spokes are designed to have some give so instead of breaking, they bend. I had the umbrella in a downpour to test its advertised drying ability. I shook off the water and in about 3 minutes it was dry! Nice.

> 24 hourI usually don’t spend much time thinking about them, but I have a number of discount umbrellas that I keep all over the place; at home, in my car, in my tote bag and in my desk at work. This is a very nice compact umbrella, it seems a bit sturdier than the discount umbrellas I have which also keep the rain off and flip outward (rather than break) in a high wind. This one is also useful as a parasol with UPF 50 power, which I won’t use it for but I have seen others here in the south do. What I really appreciate about this particular umbrella is how well it sheds water. Even a quick walk in from the parking lot usually soaks my umbrella and then it spends all day drying out, this one is made to shed water quickly, so I’m not left with a soaking wet umbrella to contend with once I’m inside. It will eventually get wet, but it takes a lot longer than with a standard umbrella. It’s compact and meant for one, but if you prefer more coverage or need to walk together with someone you’ll want to opt for a larger size. Last of all it’s very pretty, both the black background and the colors are vibrant and there are some stylish options to choose from. The black one will perform just as well, but for me the colored ones provide a little happy on a dreary rainy day. I like it a lot, I would recommend this umbrella to anyone.
