My daughter loved her new umbrella

I bought this umbrella for my 3 year old granddaughter. If it was raining when I picked her up from daycare, it was difficult to hold her (60. lbs) in one arm and hold a golf sized umbrella in the other hand to cover both of us and carry anything that was coming home with us that day. So, I looked and found this umbrella. Its large enough to cover her head and shoulders and the design keeps the amount of water getting on her to a minimum. On the other hand, it is small enough that she can easily hold it without bumping into everything around her. Also, the clear bubble (although accented with colored polka dots) allows her to easily see to the front and sides of her. She loves it because it is adorable and it makes it feel like a big girl when she is able to hold it by herself.

Very cute umbrella, nice child can see through it. Nice small size for little ones to handle. A little dusty initially, guess from the warehouse. Since umbrella made of plastic, made sure it was good and warm at household temperature before slowly opening it in stages to allow plastic to adapt - likely has been closed a good while. Also had large sticker directly on the umbrella that left residue. Was afraid to use anything strong on plastic, so thinking of how oily peanut butter gets gum out of kids hair I applied a little coconut oil to the residue for 5 minutes. The adhesive lifted right off and the oil was easy to get rid of with a little mild dish detergent. Anyway, my 3 year old granddaughter loved her birthday gift and tried it out happily in recent downpours. Took 1 star off only because of clean up required to get it ready.

Seems sturdy and way for child to open and close. Daughters loves it.

As the title states, the umbrella is not completely clear. It has a white coating on random parts that will not come off. I asked for a replacement and the replacement had less white stuff than the original, but was still there. I bought it to make a jellyfish Halloween costume, so the white meant I had to change my plan and cover the entire umbrella. It worked out, though! The umbrella is fully functional as an umbrella. Its light weight, easy for kids to hold, see through, a good size, and so on. But, calling it crystal clear is misleading. ☹️

Its a kids umbrella and you get what you pay for. Keeping that in mind, I explained to my 9 year old the limits of the umbrella. Im sure the metal bars would be prone to bending or even the material might tear if youre too careless with it. But its a beautiful umbrella and the PERFECT size for a kid. My motherly advice, this J-handle is the BEST option!!! The spring-release type, with the handle you have to push in until it clicks, can leave bruised faces if a kid isnt cautious. A kid tends to stand with their face right over the damn thing when they try to close it, too! And of course they push down on it, so if (WHEN) it slips...BAM! Right in the smacker!..my poor daughter, she learned the hard way! J-handle for the WINNN!

These umbrellas are great and I wish Id found them sooner. My three year old can open and close hers on her own, and no risk of pinched fingers. The little metal piece that usually holds an umbrella open (and pinches kid fingers) isnt there, it just opens and closes with ease. My eight year old loves this feature, and that she can see where shes going because its clear. Highly, highly recommend!

This is a very cute umbrella. Because its clear, children can see without an obstructed view and the shape allows less rain to get on them. The only drawback is the very small button to close it makes it very difficult.
