I have used metal cut off wheels for years. These are thinner and would best be used to cut thinner metal (sheet metal, metal under 1/8). They do cut well, but a lot of them have come apart at the center metal support. The last one I used, after I was done cutting I switched my grinder off. While it was decelerating the disc separate from the metal ring, the disc flew off and cut a 3 gash on the side of my face. Its not worth a permanent scar or a trip to the hospital to use these discs.

Definitely a good buy. Never have enough lying around especially with the den of thives I work with. I tried them out on some barrels and was feeling them out. Seem to cut clean and well, grabbed a few times in a pinch point and didnt explode so thats a plus! Good quality. Not sure if they burn up any faster than any other store brand. Havent used them enough but seemed to hang in there. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Pro or otherwise.

Not the longest lasting but great value for a very good product.
