Tulip Fabric Dye Kits 31672 Fdy Med Psychedelic, 4 Fluid Ounces, As Detailed

We used this to dye 5 cotton masks and 2 kids t-shirts, and still had some red and blue left over (the yellow went faster because we used a lot of it to make both orange and green). We let the dye sit for about 24 hours, though, which was a lot longer than recommended. Also, the blue is REALLY dark, so for one of the shirts, I diluted it with water at about a 1-to-1 ratio and it turned out fine.

I really liked this experience, I did this with my boyfriend and made a total of three medium shirts and they came out great. This was easy to use and easier to clean.

this tie dye kit works well. the colors are pretty vibrant, and stay well so far. its been a few months since i tie dyed my shirts, and ive washed them several times. they have barely faded, if they even have at all. the colors are still bright and vibrant :) i paid 10 bucks for it, which is kind of a lot for me.. for only 3 colors. we tie dyed 4 shirts total, and used up all of the blue and most of the red. im not sure if it makes up to 9 shirts, but it can make at least 4. which is decent.

Love these dyes. But... Definitely doesnt cover 9 projects. Maybe for baby dolls Haha. But super fun to do with the kids! And really simple instructions. :)

Fantastic! Easy to do project with 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 year old. Made 5 shirts- very bright colors!!

Was able to make 3 men’s size XL white t-shirts and 1 kids size small tank and still had a little left. Could have done one more kids. My girls had fun.

Estimated project number is for sparse application. If you want really saturated, more color than white, dont plan to get more than 1 adult shirt done per bottle. I had 6 shirts to do. Ended up buying more at local store, having to mix to get darker blues as they didnt have the right color. Spent a lot more money than anticipated. My husbands shirt got the leftovers. Still looked cool and received tons of compliments. The red did tend to separate a bit, leaving a lighter, orangey edge. Remember all the dye you mix must be used immediately. You cant mix it one day, then use whats left later.

I normally love Tulip tie dye kits, the colors come out vibrant and usually blend very well together. However, I wasnt pleased with the Psychadelic colors. I thought with them being primary colors, that Id get some nice orange, green, and purple coming through in between the red, yellow, and blue, but that was not the case. Ive used other Tulip kits where the colors blended beautifully, but these colors came out muddy where the dyes mixed. And the shades of yellow, dark blue, and red in this kit do not look great together in my opinion - kind of an eye sore, almost clownish. Basically I wrote this review to say, only purchase the Psychadelic kit if you truly want red, yellow, and dark blue; they will not blend together to make a rainbow like some of the other Tulip dye sets will do. Otherwise, the design and the vibrancy of the colors turned out nicely; its just that the resulting color palette of the project did not turn out how I envisioned.

It says on the package it can make up to 9 projects, but that is probably if you dont like to make colorful tie-dye. 1-2XL shirts total are able to be made.
