We love to tie dye and always use Tulip brand dyes. This set was good, except one bottle came without a cap, so there was purple powdered dye everywhere. One of the greens was actually turquoise, and one of the limes was actually green. The pink color was more coral/orange also, but we found that to be true of all the Tulip sets with that color.

I bought this kit to tie dye t-shirts during a camp trip for 25 adults. It was alot of fun. Since there were several of us we made an assembly line of the various steps so that we were all experiencing steps together. Definitely wear gloves when you do this and do be careful not to pop the little dye caps off over the table. Several of us had the misfortune to have another person splash their dye color onto our project when they uncapped over the table. Also be sure to wipe the table surface clean after each project so that your shirt doesnt pick up unwanted residual color from a previous project. It seemed as the Tshirts dried, the colors were less vibrant. For myself, I wanted to be sure to see the blaxk printed words on the Tshirt I dyed, so the fact that they got lighter as they dried, was ok by me. We planned to do this on a Friday morning to that the shirts could set and we could rinse them out on Saturday morning and hang to dry before we left the campground on Sunday. Be sure to save your gloves and wear them when you remove the rubber bands and rinse the shirt on the following day. Each shirts unwrapping and reveal was a grand surprise every time. It was an explosion of color, patterns and designs. I would definitely do this again! PS - purple, turquoise, lime green, hot pink were popular colors that ran out first. Good thing there wwre a couple bottles of this color in the kit!

I’ve been tie dyeing all month with Tulip kits but this one was different, so it may even be a knock off. The colors aren’t as they show on the kids. For example, I got no true green, only a deep teal. No true orange either. All of the bottles leaked. My reds all bled to yellow no matter what I did. Like I said, I’ve been tie dyeing a lot, so I know what I’m doing, and these are just not very good. I recommend Tulips Two Minute Tie Dye kit instead.

Bought for my sons birthday party. We had about 12 kids and each child got to make 2 shirts. We still had quite a bit of dye left. It was more than enough for what we needed and there is such a good selection of colors!

We did tie-dye for my birthday party this year. I believe we made about 12 adult sized shirts and 6 or 7 canvas tote bags using half of the product in the box. The color quality was good. Two bottles leaked in shipping but the powder rinsed right off when I was mixing so no big deal. Great product! I did use my own rubber bands and plastic bags. So I cant really comment on the quality or quantity of the ones provided.
