TURBRO Portable Air Conditioner Universal Exhaust Hose - 5 Inch Diameter, 78 Inch Length, Clockwise Thread

> 3 dayBought this as a replacement for the host the A/C unit came with. The length of the hose is definitely much better, but the hose itself is noticeably thiner than the hose the unit came with. It probably makes it harder for the A/C unit to cool the room, so now I need to find some way of insulating the hose.

> 3 dayThis does not fit an LG portable unless you have saved the end parts and can figure out a way to connect them to the hose. We ended up going to a hardware store and getting sewer pipe connection and clamps. If you want to just be able to simply connect this to your unit, you will have to buy the part from the company and pay way more than it is worth.

> 3 dayso happy to have received this exhaust tubing. fits perfectly. has the wire spiraling inside with the fold sections. DOESNT SMELL at all....thank God and everyone else involved in this production and transaction. yeah, 40$ is a lot to spend when i am not even sure my ac will last...but i take good care of it. i tried repairing the old tube, which is brittle on both ends due to heat. to anyone thinking about salvaging one by taping, learn from my mistakes. i first thought gorilla tape would work but no, the heat is too much, and it oozes apart. then i tried HVAC metal tape. perhaps that would have worked if i had not applied it over the leftover glue residue of the gorilla tape. but if it is to work, i think you would need to also apply the tape lengthwise to assure it holding together. even if that would work, it would be intolerable because of the adhesive fumes released with the ac heat. gorilla tape was bad and the metal tape was a high frequency thin scary chemical smell, very sophisticated with visions of clear glass lab beakers.

> 3 dayNo idea why this site wants a review of a replacement A/C exhaust hose. Its the right size, coils in the correct direction, and it is going to last longer than the original, because I found out the hard way that sunlight is REALLY bad for the plastic. No idea if this ones any different, it took years to be an issue with the original. Just put some old towels on it, which is also some insulation, making the a/c more efficient. Is anyone likely to READ a review on a tube?

> 3 dayThe hose is so thin and it does not keep any of the exhaust heat in.

> 3 dayI have a Sharp portable AC and this is a bit small but I made it work. You have to fiddle with lining up threads and making sure you cover the ends with more hose. You can also duck tape it to fit, but I havent yet. I rated it well because the replacement hose cost $80 and this was $13 and gets the job done. Maybe not quite as tough as the Sharp hose, but it is pretty good and worth it.
