Greater than one weekI bought this case to avoid adhering Velcro to the back of the Mini. What I found was even using superglue I couldnt get Velcro to stay in place on the back of this case. So, I altered the back (see photo) of the case to allow for the Velcro needed so I can use the backpacking harness.

> 3 dayIf you own and inReach GPS (mini) then you should get this cover. It provides a little extra protection and it gives the unit a better grip overall. I just feel a lot better throwing the inReach in my pack with this on it.

> 3 dayPerfect fit and seems quality! Ive used in on three Backcountry adventures and I feel more comfortable with it exposed for the times I find myself having to bushwhack my way out of things. Satellite GPS communications seem to still work. It has told me a couple times that the connection was poor, but not sure I can pin it on the case. I hope not, because i live having the case on it. Between that and a screen protector i feel like Im taking care of my lifeline!

06-06-2025Ive only been able to use this once, however the protective casing seems to be sturdy enough. It did protect my Garmin from a couple of short falls without leaving a scratch. So thats a win. Just note, this case is not compatible with the spine system the mini comes with. You will either have to forego the spine or modify the case. You can squeeze everything in place. However, it places quite a bit of stress on the plastic.

> 3 dayButtons press just as easily with the cover on as without it. The screen protector is undetectable when applied. The silicon cover and the screen protector together only add .8 ounces of weight. Adding this extra layer of armor to an already tough little unit makes it more than ready to handle the great outdoors.

> 3 dayThe black rubber protective case went right on my inReach Mini with no issues. Unfortunately, the screen protector seems to be of poor quality. No problem, as the case is what I really needed. I ordered a different brand screen protector from Amazon, which worked well. Again, I would buy this item again, just for the protective case, and order another brand of screen protector. I am more concerned about the overall integrity of my inReach, than the screen. I havent had to use my inReach yet, but the buttons seem to line up well on the protective case. I will update my review after more use.
