12-06-2025Ubiquiti makes some great products in general. The speed tests are far better than anything Ive purchased to this point. Packaging is primo and delivery is quick. Install is a breeze as long as you are using UniFi consoles. Support is questionable, but the review is of the hardware and not support.

> 3 dayUbiquiti makes good products but the radio on these are really weak. I have 3 across a 3 level 1500 sq-ft townhouse and theres a terrible dead spot at the back corner of the building where I get like 5% throughput. If you have a good single the throughput is very good

Greater than one weekWent from a LR to a Pro. Now with upgrading all Apple products we wanted the latest v6 Wi-Fi for the best performance as we depend a lot on Wi-Fi, so the the U6 has been great.

> 3 dayI have had a unifi setup for a while now and just recently updated from Wi-Fi 5-ac to Wi-Fi 6. Amazing speed difference. I know you are able to run these stand alone, however I just adopted it to my existing controller and in minutes It was configured and good to go. If this is your first time, you may want to watch some videos or read some internet posts to find how to best set these up, they are not your “big box store” internet routers (which is good, those all in one routers are terrible and not secure at all).

> 3 dayThe range of this AP is very poor compared to the OpenMesh A60 that it is replacing in my home. The A60 could cover all rooms of our 2 story wood frame 2000 sq ft home with no issues. I configured the Ubiquiti the same way and it can’t reach one side of the house. I’ll need to find a better replacement.

> 3 dayDo not buy this. They do not provide any instructions on how to set this up. In order to set up an Access Point, you at least have to provide a way of accessing the UI for the first time. Ubiquiti does not. You cannot connect to the through its IP from the LAN. Downloading the Ubiquiti app also does not allow you to access the UI following the instructions on Ubiquitis website.

> 3 dayThis is an odd review to write -- it should be two - -a 3 and a 5. If this were the *old* Ubiquiti, it would be a 5, but companys approach of late takes it down. The problem: Unifi is great, and for some situations, *the* solution. But, in the old days, it was at prosumer pricing. It was no-brainer. Today, its near enterprise pricing,. and to be honest, there are better enterprise offers from real enterprise players. Dont get me wrong -- the product works as expected and works well, but at the price, you can go to players like Arista and Rukkus. Also, if you know why you need Unifi, say youre building out an office with 30 of these, again, a no-brainer, but at the new price, you have choices, and its no longer home-budget friendly. Add to that the poor software support for the controller and its hard to vote a 5
