Ulanzi is really pulling away from their previous reputation from producing super cheap gear and now that are producing much higher quality gear but still keeping the price within reach of low budget shooters. This clamp/magic arm combo is a perfect example of that. Its only $20 yet it is super solid. It is a mostly metal build quality. The magic arm, while small, locks down incredibly tight. It took an extreme amount of force on my part to move it after I fully locked it down. The style of the clamp just makes it incredibly strong. These middle screw type clamps are some of my favorite because of how tight you can get them.

I bought this mount to put a GoPro on my motorcycle handle bars. It works fairly well, it has slipped a little, possibly because I didn’t crank down too hard on the thumbscrew. I did notice the tips of the jaws are not perfectly aligned, more of a sign of less that perfect manufacturing than a serious defect. It works well and so far I am pretty happy with it. I knocked one star off for the less than perfect manufacturing and the fact I had to tighten the thumbscrew tighter than I think is necessary to secure the ball joints. The GoPro adapter is plastic, I would have preferred it been metal, but a good product overall.

Works how it’s supposed to and works good when it does but in order to get everything to stay the way I wanted it to I had to tighten it down with vise grips

There are a few places on our road trips that Ive always wanted video of. I already have a dash cam, but dont like the rain drops or bug guts or smudges that seem to always appear. I honestly wasnt even looking for something like this. I wanted a suction cup mount. But, Im so glad this popped up in my search. The first day I got it, I attached it snugly on my partially open sun roof. Getting the right angle for the Akaso camera was very easy. I drove around thru the city for about an hour and the Ulanzi super clamp never moved, no vibration, either. It was a very solid video. Now I cant wait for our real road trips to get what Im looking for.

These clamps are made of a heavy duty material not some cheap flimsy plastic. Everything is high quality.

I was a little skeptical buying it online but when I received it I was very surprised at the quality of the materials. It’s all metal and tough, will be fine if it gets banged up. Nicely built mount and I like how adjustable it is. Very easy and quick to setup as well.

I needed something to attach a 2 lb projector to a stand. Holds well, easily repositioned and no creep.

Mounts nicely on bicycle handlebars but maybe there needs to be more rubber on the mounting pads
