Greater than one weekThis radio is fantastic* *Ok, it is fantastic for what it is. I upgraded from my old Uniden Bearcat Pro PC68XL which was a really great basic radio which followed me from car to car for ten years. The old Uniden still works but I wanted to upgrade to a unit that had weather bands and an on-board SWR meter, both of which work great on the 880. The options on this radio are fantastic (I can choose the color and set contrast and brightness? gasp!) and the black face with a hint of chrome is very classy and understated, unlike the huge chrome CBs that are obviously meant for installation in an 18-wheeler. But, it is definitely not a heavy duty radio. If you are planning on installing this in a work truck, or a commercial vehicle I would look at a more classic CB (Uniden Bearcat Pro, Cobra model 29) on which the switches are stouter and can be operated with gloves on. I havent had any durability issues with this unit, and the build quality is top-notch but the buttons are on the smallish side and I shudder to think of a methed out trucker fiddling with this while piloting 80,000lbs down the highway at 70mph. All of the functions work really well and the adjust-ability is fantastic. The noise cancelling mic works well and the on-board speaker is very clear and loud.

Greater than one weekAbsolutely amazing. Came in on time and is just perfect. I love all the settings that you are able to change. Very easy to setup as well. This is my first cb radio and I wasnt 100% sure if this was the one I wanted but Im glad I decided on this one over the competition, this one is just amazing.

> 3 day29 Sept 2020 - Update: CB unit was received by Uniden for repair on 26 Aug 2020. This equates to the CB unit being at Uniden for repair for a longer duration then it was installed in my JEEP. No chance i would ever recommend to anyone that they buy anything from Uniden. Original review: Very disappointed, approximately 2-weeks after installation the screen began to fade. if you note in the pics my JK always has a bikini top on and tube doors, this leads me to believe that there was no direct sunlight and overheating should is not an issue ( I live in Massachusetts not a desert). Although I purchased the CB only a month ago, I am already looking to replace the unit. This is only due to the screen issue, other than that I really like the unit.

> 3 dayWas a bit difficult to figure out at first but its a good radio! If your looking to get a cb and push alot of power like the other nob controlled radios this isnt the one for you. I do know a shop that can peak and tune these but thats all you can do...

Greater than one weekThis is one amazing CB... All the bells & whistles plus good reliable performance. The weather feature works great, but only after I changed the antennas to Wilsons. Original Firesticks didnt get good reception for the weather channels. Built in SWR calibration is also fantastic. 7 selectable day/ night colors too. Too much trouble with Cobra units, so its Uniden for me now.

> 3 dayI have this installed on top of my dash in Phoenix AZ. Put it on in October...Will be interested to see how/if it lasts the summer. I have a friend who lives here who has his mounted in the same location and has had it there for a couple of years with no issues yet...

> 3 dayGood looking unit. Built in SWR meter works good and allowed me to adjust SWR without another unit. Love the weather band. Only thing could improve on in design, when taking unit in and out, bracket could be notched to front (there is no notch) so bolts would not have to be removed completely from cb and unit could be slid in without having to align bolts. Would make removal and installation considerably easier once permanently mounted.
