This is beautifully made- a work of art, both in the picture but in each individual piece. Challenging all the way to the last piece, as the shapes are not the conventional squares with holes and nubs. Even the edge pieces are not immediately apparent.

The box containing the puzzle came damaged which I normally wouldnt care about it but its a birthday gift. So Im not happy about it. I had ordered another one of these puzzles back around Christmas time and did not have that problem.

It’s small but the quality is worth it! Colors are vivid and my granddaughter loved it!

My preschooler has wanted to help me with puzzles, but doesnt quite have the hand eye coordination (or patience) to stick to edge pieces and gently maneuver a cardboard jigsaw. Therefore, this was perfect to allow him to help me with a jigsaw puzzle, while not resulting in tears frustration or ruined pieces. The wood holds up to his attempts at gentleness (even as he learns not to force pieces) and the design stays on without scuffing. The pieces fit together smoothly (in some cases, almost too smoothly. This could be a bit difficult to glue together without a very steady hand to hold some of the more unique pieces together). I went with the Small because I wasnt sure if he would be interested or if it would have rebuild value. I enjoy rebuilding this again and again though (even with the small) and my only regret is that I didnt go with a larger size to add some additional challenge. My preschooler loved putting it together with me (getting mad when I started to take apart his puzzle.... so I have to rebuild on my own after he goes to sleep) and was so proud to show the rest of the family what he helped put together. Estimated completion time direct per the companys website for this size is 1-2 hours. My first time through with heavy amounts of little fingered assistance it took just under 90 minutes, and thereafter on my own I was able to complete in .5 - 1 hour. I love how easily these pieced together, the fit of the pieces is truly enjoyable, a nice easy glide together.

I was surprised at the small size of the package. I did order the small puzzle as a gift so I can only rate above by the other ratings. Overall I think it will make a wonderful gift.
