Its just a USB plug-in hard drive so the hardest part was finding an empty port. I dont know why the drive occasionally makes noise when its not supposed to be running. I mean, after its done a backup and Ive turned off automatic backup, why do anything at all? Still, its a cost effective solution to the eternal problem of backing up file when you dont want to use the Cloud.

Long story short and a very long shot; I needed to clone a close to death XP box and it would not see the drive. Using Win 7, 10 and 11 has zero issues. Great little drive.

I cant figure out how to use it for my backup drive.

Be careful that you’ll get less storage than advertised. Purchased the 320gb but got 298gb. Otherwise, works as expected of an external hard drive
