Granddaughter loves drawing and painting and is enjoying this Xmas gift.

The case was wood and heavy. The paints were easy to use.The pads of paper that came with it were thick . And the paint did not bleed through the back of the paper. Since it was a gift, I did not see my son use the crayons or pencils.

My son loves this art box. We gave it to him for a gift to kick start his collection. It has a great variety of art utensils, and the basic colors with slight variations. The drawer does fully come out even if the latch for the top is closed, just an FYI. I definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to start an art supply.

I think this is a great beginner item for someone just starting out. Love the quality of it and it was definitely affordable!
