> 3 dayTo my surprise, my newest laptop didnt have an onboard Ethernet port. It seems that as laptops and other devices get thinner, its becoming more common for ports such as Ethernet to be omitted from the device. This isnt an issue unless you actually need the wired Ethernet port either for network connectivity or to connect to other devices directly, as I frequently do for both work and hobby purposes. This USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter solved my problem quickly. It worked straight out of the box without requiring me to load any additional drivers or perform any setup. It just simply shows up as an Ethernet port to my system. If you need to add an Ethernet port to your device, as I did, I recommend this adapter as a simple solution to the problem.

> 3 daytldr; take it out of the box, plug it into your computer/laptop and you now have a wired 1GB NIC, thats it, no fuss. --------- Im a system administrator professionally, and that means a system-admin/troubleshooter for my friends and family. One of problems on most modern laptop is that manufactures have removed the physical network interface in order to make the laptop slimmer, but a physical NIC (Network Interface Connection) is important in troubleshooting, so I got this for those times where you need to remove the WIFI signal as variable and or no WIFI is present. These are pretty simple devices, plug them into a USB port and Windows (tested on windows 10 & 11) will recognize them as a Network Interface. You dont have to install anything, you dont have to configure anything (beyond what you would configure for network access, which for 99% of home users is nothing). The adapter is recognized as a 1Gb NIC, though I didnt do a transfer test on it to confirm, I have no reason to question that. In the end it did exactly what I wanted which is a wired connection with a zero hassle.

> 3 dayThis was one of the easiest hardware installs I’ve ever done. Immediately worked on our Nintendo Switch and significant improvement in download speed from Wi-Fi. I would highly recommend this product for any Nintendo Switch user!

> 3 dayI took it out of the box and plugged it into my ethernet-less laptop and gave it a few seconds to configure itself. I then plugged up an ethernet cable and waited about 20-30 seconds for it to get the connection and give internet and I was then up and running. AWESOME!!!

> 3 dayReceived this today, and having had many ethernet to USB adaptors in the past, I liked the way that this one looked. When used with a samsung tablet, it was recognized right away and provided decent throughput speeds. Although, when connecting to a windows machine, the connection was spotty. I ran windows update and it pulled down the driver for the network adaptor, although even after that, and a reboot, the connection kept dropping. Unfortunately, I wouldnt purchase this again and would recommend looking elsewhere.

Greater than one weekMain reason why I bought this to have it just 8n case if my internet is down and I need to check whats wrong. That is how you troubleshoot router modem issues. If router has issues, you would connect this to your modem via hardline cat 5. If you get internet, its a router issue. If not, then your service provider issue. I connected it to win 11 machine, and in 7 seconds I had service. No drivers needed. Windows recognized and installed drivers in no time. Both lights blinking. Very happy customer.

Greater than one weekUsing a Windows 11 laptop, I plugged in this adapter, and my ethernet cable and everything just worked! I instantly had a full wired connection, which was much more reliable, stable, and faster than my wifi connection. The cord length was just right. The adapter seems like it will last. Well worth the minimal investment to get this adapter.

> 3 dayI needed an ethernet adapter for my older laptop that doesnt have an ethernet port. This device is essentially plug and play. Windows recognized it immediately, and within minutes I was ready to go. The price is affordable, much less expensive than most other solutions. Ive been using for a few weeks now with no issues. Definitely recommended.
