V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

My Dyson battery was just about dead and would only run for long enough to clean two rooms. I saw this adapter on IG and loved the concept. Very easy to install. Now my 2ah DeWalt battery vacuums the house twice over before needing a charge. The only down side I can think of is that it doesnt fit onto my wall dock. With a battery in it, its too large. 9 stars out of 10.

Great adaptor that works

Great idea, poor execution. I tried 2 of these, both didnt work correctly. I would get about 5 seconds of power, then shutoff. Have to pull and re-insert battery, gets another 5 seconds, repeat.

I have multiple DeWalt batteries that I use everyday while at work. The largest battery that I have provided just a few seconds more than what the original Dyson is capable of. Any other battery would instantly shut the vacuum off if I try to use max suction. I received a replacement and had the same results. The issue isnt with my batteries... I can go days with constant use using my power tools and with no immediate need to recharge.

I have plenty of deWalt batteries. Together they can run 2+ hours. The first time I can finish vacuuming my entire house continuously. Also, I remove the battery whenever I dont use the cleaner. which is safe.

After 4 years our Dyson battery was dying after doing 50% of the area that it use to cover fully charged. Didn’t want to purchase a new $200+ Dyson battery, so heard about the adapter and thought to give it a try first! Easy to install and works perfect! Highly suggest!

I wanted to update this review. After using this adapter for the past 5 months. I still think this is the most ingenious mod. It still works flawless and I have enough charge to vacuum my whole house. I have told all my friends. I have a good friend that just bought a new Dyson and has never even used the official battery because he ordered this product. Great job you amazing engineers! This was easy to install and works flawlessly. I am already in the Dewalt tool world and know how the batteries are great performers. I can vacuum my whole house on the high setting without changing the battery. Best mod ever!!!

i had to come back to this page to figure out how to swap the battery adapters. There are 3 screws total, 2 are hidden. Other than the setup, this thing is incredible!!!!

Amazing, it works perfectly. Used the screws from the original dyson battery instead of the supplied ones since the original were longer. There wasnt a ryobi attachment one sadly but purchased a dewalt slim 4ah and battery charger. Purchased dewalt battery from home depot - too many fraudulent ones on amazon. Dewalt website states that they do not sell on amazon. Dont throw the old dead battery in the trash. Take it to free electronics/hazard recycling or drop it off at work by your battery pickup area.

Works with Dewalt 2Ah Max and 1.7 Ah Powerstack but vacuum pulses on and off with 5Ah Powerstack. Disappointed that it can’t be used with a higher capacity battery.
