The Vandesail CAT 6 extension cables are excellent. I use them at the termination point for the router so there is less ware and tare to the female connector.

I received this in good condition with no signs of damage. The cable ends are sturdy with a nice anti-tangle guard over the locking tang. The cable and RJ45 connections were in good order with no visible flaws and showed no signs of rushed or sloppy assembly. The 6 foot length made connecting the cable very easy with no repositioning of equipment required. The cable worked flawlessly upon plugging into the my network. For testing I used it connect one of my PCs at 1000mbps to my router. prior to connection I ran a test on the cable to ensure all eight lines were patent and no crossover or shorts existed using a basic cable analyzer. No abnormalities were found on any of the eight lines. Connecting to the network, the link was solid with windows reporting the connection at 1000mbps. The RJ-45 plugs inserted cleanly and locked firmly into place. Releasing the plugs was made very easy as the locking tang is a bit longer than average allowing a good grip. Its a good and solid cable and has remained in use since receipt. I received this product at a discounted price or for free in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. I purchased this product because I had an old cable connecting my home modem to my router. I wanted a good quality cat 6 cable to link the two together to give my router optimal speed and performance. I found this one on Amazon and thought Id give it a shot. This cable arrived promptly in two days thanks to Amazon Prime. I usually crimp my own cables as I work in the IT industry and it isnt a hard thing to do, but I wanted one that was pre-assembled for home. The cable is pliable enough while maintaining good protection for the small wires insulated in the cable. The clip release mechanism functions flawlessly making this cable easy to seat into an RJ-45 connection and making removal a breeze while keeping it locked in place when needed to be. The cable is performing as promised thus far and Im very very pleased with it. I got to throw away a poorly insulated beige colored cat 5 cable and got to upgrade to a black one with better insulation. I attached a picture just to show the router connected to the modem. I know the cables are a mess right now but Im moving and I plan to clean that up soon enough :) This cable should work with any RJ-45 connection (Ethernet port) I was offered to purchase this product at a reduced rate in exchange for reporting back on how the cable performed for me. Thus far the speeds are great and Im happy. Keep in mind if youre looking to improve your speeds its going to be limited to what devices its connecting as well as your data speed from your provider or server thats pushing the data for you.
