I have been using this soap for awhile. My skin is a bit sensitive and since using this soap, I dont have anymore rashes or skin irritation. Great product.

I got this bar after an itching spell had lasted too long... I still do not know what sets my skin off, but every so often I go a good couple of weeks just being itchy - everywhere! I have changed my laundry soap, and gone to gentler cleansers and been careful around cleaning products, but I have not ever figured out exactly what it is that sets my skin into what I guess is a type of flair-up. There is not any particular redness or rash, with the exception of where I have scratched and the only thing that seems to cause an immediate reaction during one these episodes is direct sun light... it makes me feel a little like my skin is on fire and then I will get a small rash that only last a short time. I have gone through this now a few times and have finally figured out a routine that seems to stop the flair-up... I use three different products - Glyderm gentle cleanser (a face cleanser with glycolic acid meant for sensitive skin) - I use it full body and let it sit about 5 minutes to exfoliate the top layer of my skin in case the itching is being caused by an irritant that has been deposited on my skin. I then use the an anti-fungal soap called PediFix FungaSoap Liquid - it has a strong smell that might turn some off, but I use it in case I am having a mild yeast or bacterial type of reaction in my skin. I let it sit a few minutes and then rinse. I do not use antibacterial soap on a regular basis, because I have an awful time with yeast infections if I do, so my normal cleansers would not necessarily catch a bacterial skin issue. And then last, I use the Vanicream soap. It is gentle and it is able to rid my body of the scents of the stronger cleansers... it also leaves my skin feeling clean, but neither tight or slippery. It is a mild soap meant for gentle skin, but I think it has a mild scent - it does not smell perfumy at all, though. I might repeat the above process a couple of times, but then I continue my daily showers with the Vanicream. Of the cleansers meant for sensitive skin, it is the one that I prefer in terms of scent and how my skin feels afterward. Oh, and I also use a high quality calendula oil, cream or lotion after bath or before towel drying to moisturize and calm my skin. The oil alone will help the itching stop temporarily; but whatever is causing the itching does not go away until I go through the whole routine two or three times. I still have no clue what sets my skin off, but I have a pretty decent arsenal of go-to stuff to quickly start dealing with the situation. And in between, I use this soap and maybe the oil to keep my skin calm. The first couple of times it happened, my routine would also include a soak in RID, in case the itching was being caused by some unseen parasite, but it did absolutely nothing to stop the itching and I surmised that my itching is not due to any type of body lice or pest. Mind you, I never saw symptoms of such, but by the time you itch that long for no apparent reason; you really are ready to try anything to just make it stop. This Vanicream soap is a must for me come Fall and Winter.I was purchasing this at our local Walgreens but its hit or miss they run out very fast and i was tired of driving back and fourth to see if it was back in stock to no avail.Happy its available on Amazon! This soap is free of of the bad unnecessary ingredients.In my opinion its better than Dove and other mild soaps out there.My Husband was using Dove until he started with Vanicream and will not go back to his normal brand.We both have sensitive skin and i have many , many allergies so i find this to be very moisturizing and foams up very well.My Dry itchy skin is no longer either.In fact its been well controlled with this and their lotion .Im now commited to buying this brand not only in the Fall and Winter months but all seasons because i can tell the difference when i use another soap that my skin goes back to being dry and itchy.Though it would be nice if i could purchase this at a local store it just goes as soon as they restock according to the pharmacy manager.That being said the price is about the same that we were paying at Walgreens mybe even a dime cheaper here on Amazon and the convenience of having it delivered right to the door is nice especially on days we get alot of snow and road conditions arent the safest.Hope Amazon never stops carrying this.

My dermatologist recommended this soap due to some skin issues. It works great. There really isnt a scent to it (which is why a person with skin issues would be using it as well).

I have struggled with extremely dry, red, sensitive skin on my face for as long as I can remember (I have been diagnosed with Rosacea and Dermatitis). My dermatologist recently recommended the Vanicream skincare line. After about six weeks of using this cleansing bar on my face (in combination with the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream and Vanicream Sunscreen), I started noticing that my natural skin barrier was being restored, and a lot of the redness and sensitivity was going away. It is also important to note that before using Vanicream, I was using an extremely expensive cleansing line for over two years (SOOTHE by Rodan + Fields). It controlled the dryness, but didnt really do anything for the pain and redness I was experiencing. I then developed some sort of allergic reaction and was forced to look for other skincare options. At first, I didnt like Vanicream as much as my old skincare line (the dryness returned when I first made the switch). However, I stuck with Vanicream day after day and eventually got WAY better results. Vanicream has gone way beyond my expectations. Not only is it way less expensive than what I was using before, it actually works to improve all of my skin issues! Im writing this review to help other people like me get back to feeling great about their skin!

I have to be extremely careful with anything that affects my skin--soap, shampoo, make-up, detergent, softener, hand lotion, etc. etc. This soap is wonderful. No scent, very gentle; and, very helpful for dry irritated skin!

This soap was recommended to me to resolve issues with dry, itchy skin. I had problems even though I use allergen free laundry detergent. No skin cream was able to resolve the issue, but after a few days of use, this soap resolved the issue completely. I have used it for 10 years, and it still works

This product is so gentle, that I can use it on my eczema without any burn. I wash my face with it and NO burning of the eyes. I need to buy this soap by bulk so I do not run out.
