Vera Bradley Cotton Deluxe Vera Tote Bag

I bought this for work and fell in LOVE with it. I use it everyday. It holds SO much stuff and has so many different compartments inside and outside. The quality is also very great. I bought a matching duffle bag and backpack in the same pattern.

This is the most amazing bag!!! Lots of pockets on the inside. Fit under the seat of the plane just fine.

I wanted to return this purse at first because I initially purchase it for work. I am a nurse and I wanted a purse to carry to work that is pretty, sturdy and big enough to fit my water bottle, essentials and my lunch also. I wanted a vera bradley bag. At first when it came, I thought it was too big for no reason and felt awkward and wanted to return it. I then changed my mind and decided to keep it and I’m so glad I did! It fits so much and more. It has SO many compartments. It also is such good quality and sturdy. I can fit so much and not feel like it’s too heavy. I am very happy I purchased it! It’s my new favorite work bag :)

I ordered a replacement bag to see whether the first bag I got was just defective. Nope. Turns out this is just not the Vera Bradley quality Ive come to know. Im not a fan of the interior of these new recycled cotton bags. Theyre slippery versus the natural texture of the cotton used on the outside. But I could live with that. Here are two reasons the bag is flawed: 1) Both bags arrived folded and flat on their side with the bottom bent along the center line; they wouldnt flatten out to allow the bag to sit stably. There was always a hump in the bottom. Clearly the thick cardboard that serve as the bottom for all my older bags is no longer used. Those could not be bent and, in fact, are removable to allow the bag to be washed. Not with these. 2) The lining on both bags was detached from the exterior of the bag, allowing each side of the bag to just flow throughout the bag. In other words, when you put something in a pocket, it just pushes the bottom of the pocket out into the middle of the bag and pulled the whole side of the lining away from the sides of the bag. The bottom of the pockets are not stitched to the base of the bag, so the sides just pull out and down. The same for the laptop side. Ive never seen anything like it! This workmanship and design are definitely NOT what Ive come to expect from Vera Bradley!!

This is a cute bag, well made. But it is a bit too much! A little too big, a few too many pockets, too many features and options. I like it, but I dont love it.

I needed a new commuter bag big enough to fit my wider laptop, and this bag definitely gets the job done. It’s durable, and the straps should hold up over time. There’s also space for headphones and other knickknacks. The travel sleeve comes in handy too. And the pattern is really cute!

I used to have a “go round” Vera Bradley tote back in the day. I used it for school and I have been wanting another for YEARS, but they stopped making it. Finally this came along with several outside pockets which I like, to carry a water bottle, and other easy access things like my phone. I’m extra impressed because it feels like the old, good quality Vera bags, not the cheaper way they have felt in the past few years. The back side “pocket” is a slip through sleeve to put over a suitcase, which works for me since I have several trips coming up and will be using it as a carry on. I wish they weren’t so expensive, I will be keeping an eye out for colors I like and will probably purchase another.

This Vera Bradley has two large side pockets on the outside for a water bottle or flip flops or an umbrella inside has large laptop pocket and two mesh pockets on top of the laptop pocket… 3 large pockets on the other side and this bag has a zipper closure
