I think I have 3-4 sets of these knives now since I use them for everything and they are often dirty! They slice great and dont get dull. I use them as steak knives too and even use one to open amazon boxes! I bring one travelling with me since so often places that we stay do not have even one good knife. Buy them - you will be happy!

The best knifes

First, it was a strange thing they came in no package, merely bubble wrap and a thin film on each which is extremely unsafe and a huge liability for the company if someone cuts themselves. I was gonna return these on that premise alone. Its very unprofessional and tacky for a supposedly reputable brand, seems it could be fake. Taking off the thin film was a hassle and tore in half which risks getting cut to remove the rest. Initially they were somewhat sharp. I cut an onion easily and bread once, but after merely a month of mixed use cutting barely anything hard and only using them a few times , they dont glide cut anymore. I had to saw cut a bread roll. A sharp utility knife should glide across and slice it like butter. Im guessing these reviewers praising these have only owned cheap dull steak knife sets. My roommate initially got cut washing one but that was cuz they grabbed it by accident which happens even more with dull knives. I was looking for a utility knife similar to the ones my old kitchen job used. They had similar rounded top and were serrated but glided across bread with light pressure, no sawing. These are dull in comparison after light use and blades are flimsier and thinner. I was cut badly a few times with my work knives merely touching them but these have no sharpness anymore. If I knew the brand I would have ordered those instead. Even my work knives would wear out and result in ordering new ones but that was under daily heavy abuse but these victorinox were used lightly like under 20x. Even during that time they werent sharp. They wouldnt even glide thru fish filet, I had to saw cut through fresh boneless salmon. Thats pretty poor quality if the blade isnt sharp enough to cut through soft fish with pressure. A good utility knife doesnt require sawing to cut. My journey for a sharp utility knife continues.

Best knives EVER!! Ive had one for a long time and it is still as sharp as the day I bought it. I was so glad to see the 4 pack.
