I’ve had this monitor for about 3 days now and i’ve already found a issue with it. My issue is the backlight bleeding, which i noticed within the first day of just having it. The monitor is great when it comes to gaming and watching movies except for the dark scenes. The backlight bleeding can really tend to ruin the experience of the game or movie.

This monitor is decent for gamers Out of the box, the monitor is in eco mode which made it really dim even if you turn up the brightness. However, this monitor wont go that bright when compared to most other standard 2k 144hz monitors. The viewing angle is pretty good, and it comes with free sync with minimal ghosting. So for gamers the experience will be very satisfactory

The monitor stopped working properly after only 6 months, at no fault of ours. When I contacted the company, they stated I had to pay to ship the product back to them for a replacement, even though it was under warranty.

The price + size is about the only positive. You will absolutely have some ghosting no matter what. The monitors internal settings can only help this so much, considering the cheaper panel thats used. For those unfamiliar, ghosting looks like the old option for pointer-trails on Windows XP. Every movement on-screen leaves a ghost trail behind it. Turning on the 1ms-mode dims the screen to the point where its almost unusable in a lit room, and seems to have no effect on the level of ghosting. If I could go back, I wouldve spent the extra $50 / $100 to get a better monitor. The specs on this are, unfortunately, too good to be true.

Nice product. Mine came with a Dead Pixel but nothing that affects overall performance and I dont even see it

Its fine, but if youre using it with a MacBook Pro, the difference in screen quality is quite noticeable, and I cant match the color no matter how I try.

Monitor is ok! Just don’t like not having a remote to turn it off and on…

I absolutely love this monitor but I did run into one minor hiccup. The monitor is advertised as having a 165hz refresh rate when plugged in via DisplayPort. They even provide you with a display port cable! But when I set the monitor up I was limited to 120hz and for the life of me, I could not figure out why. I reinstalled graphic drivers, messed with settings, even had my friend who is better with computers than myself come over and see if he could figure out why I could not access the 165hz. Then it hit me, maybe the cable is bad. So I drove to the same friends house and borrowed a cable form him and sure enough it worked! Kind of bummed me out that I spent so long troubleshooting this when the problem was the provided DisplayPort cable the whole time. TLDR: If you have problems getting the advertised 165hz refresh rate I suggest you order a new DisplayPort cable.

With an immersive 1500R curved screen and stunning WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, the ViewSonic® VX3218C-2K monitor provides an incredible viewing experience for work or play. With features including a 165Hz* refresh rate, 1ms (MPRT) response time and AMD FreeSync technology, this monitor virtually eliminates screen tearing and stuttering for a fluid gaming experience.
