> 3 dayLove this display! I have a limited amount of vertical room between my home desk and some built-in bookcases above, and this monitor has great vertical adjustment to fit perfectly. Picture and brightness is excellent.

> 3 dayThis is to directly compete with Samsungs SH850. Difference from SH850: - Display Panel: IPS vs PLS - USB-C charge: 65W vs 45W. - DisplayPort daisy chain: No vs Yes - USB2 connection from computer: Yes vs No - Audio: lame speakers vs. Audio Out Jack - Eye care mode: not sure vs. Yes - Price: Same - Size/Resolution: Same Otherwise, other specs are similar. The stand on this looks a bit slicker, with a handle to carry. I picked this because its got better review and slightly newer in release date, and the wrong info in its description that its 75Hz. Its not 75Hz, just 60. Everything is great. I dont care about daisy chaining DP and the extra USB2 connection from computer is very nice. But then I decided to return it and get the SH850. Because for some reason, they decided they need to include speakers, but ones so lame that its very far off even compare to my cheap laptops built-in speakers. Literally I just want it to be loud enough, as loud as my incredibly cheap laptops lamest speakers. I checked and all volume are set to 100%. If they dont want to include speakers that are just loud enough, at least just leave it out and include an audio out jack so I can add my own ones, that I dont need another wire plugging into the computer.

> 3 dayUsing this as a separate monitor in smaller upstairs home office. As much as it would be nice to have a 4K monitor, I really couldnt see spending an extra $200-$300 for it since I wont be watching be primarily watching movies on it. However, the QHD is excellent for general personal and office work, including tasks like software development. Has all the latest common connectivity options - USB-C 3.1 / HDMI 1.4 / DisplayPort / and USB 3.0 inputs. Love the nearly nonexistent bevels around the top and sides and the built-in speakers are more than sufficient. Especially cool is the tool-less assembly! One thumbscrew at the bottom to put the stand together and the stand *snaps* into the back of the monitor. There is a nice built-in handle at the top of the stand behind the monitor to help carry/move it. Wide tilt angle and height adjustment. Well done ViewSonic!! I may have to get another one - just cause!! Just a note that this one is a second shipment. The first shipment was one where the monitor was either damaged at the factory and hastily repacked or it was somehow damaged in some other fashion and repackaged as new. No problem - returned to Amazon the same day via a drop off at Kohls and received this one within 1.5 days.

Greater than one weekOther reviewers here have noted all the pros about this monitor, I will just add that 1-) the adjustable stand is especially easy to use and useful for long hours and avoiding neck pain and 2-) reminder that they ship only a display port/USB cable and an HDMI cable with it even though monitor is USB -C enabled. if you are running Mojave 10.14 or later the adapters for display port and HDMI simply will not work, the mac book will never see the monitor. You *must* get a USB-C 3.1 to C cable. Then you can just plug it all in. Also need to add a shout out to Anne at Amazon (complimentary) tech support for helping figure all this out by coordinating with ViewSonic because it wasnt documented anywhere at the point at which I was trying to do it. Thank you Anne!

> 3 dayMonitor performed well overall. I liked how adjustable the screen was in terms of angles and height. The only issue I had was with the Type -C interface. Regardless of the USB C cable i used (I tried many) or the monitor settings (I reset the monitor multiple times) I would inevitably hear a high pitch whine from the LCD. The whine would go away whenever I used a HDMI cord. Since I bought the monitor specifically because it had a type c interface, the particular display I received didnt work for me.

> 3 dayThis monitor has a nice screen and features and is fine for general use. As many have mentioned the stand is excellent. My biggest issue with this monitor is that it will only provide 30Hz through the USB-C port, which is not disclosed in the documentation, and that the power through that port is insufficient to power a Macbook pro 16 under moderate / heavy load, which I did expect, but it seems pretty lame. So if you want to play a game, youll need to plug in your power adapter and connect to the HDMI or other port to get 60Hz. I verified that one only gets 30Hz through the USB-c port on several computers including a Lenovo. Viewsonic support tried to help me with this but eventually gave up.

17-11-2024This ViewSonic VG2455 24 Inch IPS 1080p Monitor provides gorgeous color and even better, it can swivel to portrait mode. This is a 24 model, which is a modest size by todays standards but its perfect for a small workspace or as a second monitor. It has a solid list of features including an IPS display, integrated speakers, swivel and tilt functions as well as easy height adjustment, an ultra thin bezel on three sides, USB-C, HDMI, display port and VGA connection ports, and five preset view modes. I have had a number of Viewsonic monitors over the years and have always favored them because of the brilliant color and this one is no exception. I am using this with a Windows system so have had no issues with the sound. The speakers are quite decent. Not as good as an expensive, secondary speaker but solidly good and they dont take up precious desktop space as an added sound system would. What I really love is the ability to swivel the display to portrait mode. In portrait mode, you can tuck this monitor into a very small space and its superb for text based work/layout or reading. I also love the 40 degree tilt because I use a standing desk and its a simple matter to just tilt it to the best angle for me when I am standing. The response time is a bit slow for some gaming but it isnt sold as a gaming monitor. You can certainly find a less expensive, 24 monitor but the features and gorgeous display make it worth the extra money, IMO. I have a Viewsonic display that is over 10 years old and still working perfectly so I am hoping this one will be just as durable.

> 3 dayThis Viewsonic monitor is a terrific addition to any system. Large, bright, sharp, and clear picture. It’s easy to install, and works perfectly with my desktop. It’s also very reasonably priced for a monitor of this size and quality.
