Im just a hobbyist welder, but have used a welder for 15 years using an $80 helmet. It finally died and I purchased the 3350 hoping it was worth the money. Its night and day when it comes to seeing what you are welding compared to my prior auto dark helmet. It is also much more comfortable even though I dont usually wear it more than an hour at a time.

I’ve used Jackson nexgen hoods for years and this hood is far superior! Fits great. Light weight.

    1. My biggest complaint is the flimsy very inconsistently fitting headgear. 2.The paint easily flaked off after dropping it from a short distance while trying to lift it from the flimsy rear headgear adjustment. 3. Even adjusted back to its farthest distance from the lens your nose and face is still too close fogging up the lens and wearing a white respirator is completely out of the question! Not to mention the electronic controls are right inline with your mouth and are often accidentally changed! * Rigging a Miller Hood headgear to fit this helmet helped a lot and allowed it to lift further back on my head rather than hanging out in front and put the lens further from my mouth. If it wasnt for that I would not have been able to use it! * after using the Miller for the last 10 years I wish I would have stayed with theirs but I thought I was getting a better helmet, I should have listened to my factory co-workers.
